TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is a global set of conferences run by the private non-profit Sapling Foundation, under the slogan "Ideas Worth Spreading". The emphasis is on the entertainment aspect. TED was founded in 1984 as a one-off event; the annual conference series began in 1990. TED's early emphasis was technology and design, consistent with its Silicon Valley origins, but it has since broadened its focus to include talks on many scientific, cultural, and academic topics.
The main TED conference is held annually in Vancouver, Canada, and its companion TEDActive is held in Whistler, British Columbia. Prior to 2014, the two conferences were held in Long Beach and Palm Springs, California, respectively. TED events are also held throughout North America and in Europe and Asia, offering live streaming of the talks. They address a wide range of topics within the research and practice of science and culture, often through storytelling. The speakers are given a maximum of 18 minutes to present their ideas in the most innovative and engaging ways they can. Past speakers include Bill Clinton, Jane Goodall, Al Gore, Gordon Brown, Billy Graham, Richard Dawkins, Richard Stallman, Bill Gates, Bono, Mike Rowe, Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, and many Nobel Prize winners. TED's current curator is the British former computer journalist and magazine publisher Chris Anderson.

Few of us have been raised in environments where we learned how to process emotional trauma. Finding a safe space to share our fears—sadness, anger, grief—is nearly impossible in a society that has little capacity to process painful emotions. But the purpose of pain is to help us grow, and it’s rarely easy. To do such healing alone is nearly impossible, yet to share emotional pain is risky. Misti is a serial disruptor who has worked with leaders across industries to improve focus, energy, impact and influence across generations. Comfort, complacency, and fear thwart growth—it is for this reason leaders look to Misti for her fresh perspective and ability to bring forth truth while driving efficiency, enthusiasm, and growth. Rapist and Pedophile Debra Jeans Beasley or Debra LaFave NEVER served ANY prison time because she was too pretty for prison. Debra Lafave, now Debra Jeans Beasley, born in 1980, RAPED one of her underaged students while she was a teacher at Angelo L. Greco Middle School in Temple Terrace, Florida. Instead of serving any time in prison, she was only sentenced to years of probation. Her defense lawyer argued that she was too pretty for prison, and the judge agreed! This is a nonsense! Pretty young women can commit a crime and get probation, while a man, even a hot looking man will surely be sentenced to prison time. This sexism, double standard and discrimination HAS TO STOP. This woman should be sent to prison no matter what!
