WAKING UP to GOOD MORNING STARSHINE of SAHLEE QUIZON in TORONTO reminds me that there is more Life waiting out there ready to Explore.
GOOD MORNING STARSHINE was a Popular Tune in 1969 to 1970. It is the Song I used to sing in my Grade 3 Class, and definitely brings back my childhood days in quiet Suburbia called MALABON (now a City and part of Metropolitan Manila in the Philippines) with Hope that someday I would see the Other Side of the World.
WORKING in TORONTO is in my wish list when I started planning in 1998 to Move to Canada from the Philippines. And I am glad it did come true. To add Triumph to my job hunting, I managed to land a Job in BAY STREET - my preferred work place since I first landed in Canada. Actually, It was a Big Challenge to Find an Office Work you like to do in BAY STREET.
BAY STREET is one of the Famous Streets in Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is the CENTRE OF TORONTO'S FINANCIAL DISTRICT and is often used by METONYMY to refer to CANADA'S FINANCIAL INDUSTRY just as WALL STREET is used in the United States and The City in the United Kingdom.
This is a rather recent development (1970s), as this position used to be held by St. James Street, in Montreal. Within the legal profession, the term BAY STREET is also used colloquially to refer to the large, full-service business law firms of Toronto, particularly the top-tier law firms known as the Seven Sisters. The NAME OF THE STREET originated in 1797 from the fact that it connected (then) Lot Street (now Queen Street West) to a BAY IN TORONTO HARBOUR. It was originally called Terauley Street (from Queen Street to Grenville Street) and renamed in the 1920s.
The INTERSECTION OF BAY AND KING STREET is often seen as the centre of Canadian banking and finance. Four of Canada's FIVE MAJOR BANKS have office towers at the intersection: the Bank of Montreal at First Canadian Place, Scotiabank at Scotia Plaza, CIBC at Commerce Court, and Toronto-Dominion Bank at the Toronto Dominion Centre. Historically, this was known as the "MINT Corner" (Montreal, Imperial, Nova Scotia, Toronto-Dominion) but since 1962 the Imperial Bank has been part of CIBC and the Bank of Nova Scotia has rebranded itself so this nickname is no longer widely used.
Another prominent intersection is the one nearest Yorkville at BAY and Bloor, the centre of an upscale and expensive shopping district.
BAY STREET stretches from Queens Quay (Toronto Harbour) in the south to Davenport Road in the north. The original section of BAY STREET ran only as far north as Queen Street West. Sections north of Queen Street were renamed BAY STREET as several other streets were consolidated and several gaps filled in to create a new thoroughfare in the 1920s. The largest of these streets, Terauley Street, ran from Queen Street West to Grenville Street. At these two points, there is a curve in BAY STREET.
Condominium development on BAY NORTH of the financial district boomed during the 1990s attracting many who work there to live downtown, thereby avoiding the daily commute. The intersection of BAY and BLOOR is the location of the Toronto Transit Commission's BAY subway station. BAY STREET is served by the route 6 BAY bus, which is one of the few downtown bus routes. The street was originally served by streetcars, however the opening of the north-south Yonge Subway in 1954 caused a number of parallel streetcar routes to be replaced by buses, including BAY.
By the way, the popular song GOOD MORNING STARSHINE is from the Broadway musical HAIR. It went to TOP THREE for OLIVER in 1969.

Bay Street, originally known as Bear Street, is a major thoroughfare in Downtown Toronto. It is the centre of Toronto's Financial District and is often used by metonymy to refer to Canada's financial industry since succeeding Montreal's St. James Street in that role in the 1970s. Within the legal profession, the term Bay Street is also used colloquially to refer to the large, full-service business law firms of Toronto, particularly the top-tier law firms known as the "Seven Sisters". The name of the street originated in 1797 from the fact that it connected Lot Street (present-day Queen Street West) to a bay at the Toronto Harbour. Prior to that it was known as Bear Street because of frequent bear sightings in the early history of Toronto. Until 1922, the section of Bay running north from Queen Street and ending at College Street was known as Terauley Street (named after the Terauley estate of John Simcoe Macaulay near Bay and Queen Streets). Several discontinuous streets existed north of College Street to Davenport Road. By-Law 9316 joined these streets together as far north as Scollard Street in 1922. Finally, By-Law 9884, enacted on January 28, 1924, changed the name of Ketchum Avenue to Bay Street, extending it to Davenport Road.

BAY STREET is one of the Famous Streets in Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is the CENTRE OF TORONTO'S FINANCIAL DISTRICT and is often used by METONYMY to refer to CANADA'S FINANCIAL INDUSTRY just as WALL STREET is used in the United States and The City in the United Kingdom.
This is a rather recent development (1970s), as this position used to be held by St. James Street, in Montreal. Within the legal profession, the term BAY STREET is also used colloquially to refer to the large, full-service business law firms of Toronto, particularly the top-tier law firms known as the Seven Sisters. The NAME OF THE STREET originated in 1797 from the fact that it connected (then) Lot Street (now Queen Street West) to a BAY IN TORONTO HARBOUR. It was originally called Terauley Street (from Queen Street to Grenville Street) and renamed in the 1920s.
The INTERSECTION OF BAY AND KING STREET is often seen as the centre of Canadian banking and finance. Four of Canada's FIVE MAJOR BANKS have office towers at the intersection: the Bank of Montreal at First Canadian Place, Scotiabank at Scotia Plaza, CIBC at Commerce Court, and Toronto-Dominion Bank at the Toronto Dominion Centre. Historically, this was known as the "MINT Corner" (Montreal, Imperial, Nova Scotia, Toronto-Dominion) but since 1962 the Imperial Bank has been part of CIBC and the Bank of Nova Scotia has rebranded itself so this nickname is no longer widely used.
Another prominent intersection is the one nearest Yorkville at BAY and Bloor, the centre of an upscale and expensive shopping district.
BAY STREET stretches from Queens Quay (Toronto Harbour) in the south to Davenport Road in the north. The original section of BAY STREET ran only as far north as Queen Street West. Sections north of Queen Street were renamed BAY STREET as several other streets were consolidated and several gaps filled in to create a new thoroughfare in the 1920s. The largest of these streets, Terauley Street, ran from Queen Street West to Grenville Street. At these two points, there is a curve in BAY STREET.
Condominium development on BAY NORTH of the financial district boomed during the 1990s attracting many who work there to live downtown, thereby avoiding the daily commute. The intersection of BAY and BLOOR is the location of the Toronto Transit Commission's BAY subway station. BAY STREET is served by the route 6 BAY bus, which is one of the few downtown bus routes. The street was originally served by streetcars, however the opening of the north-south Yonge Subway in 1954 caused a number of parallel streetcar routes to be replaced by buses, including BAY.
By the way, the popular song GOOD MORNING STARSHINE is from the Broadway musical HAIR. It went to TOP THREE for OLIVER in 1969.

The INTERSECTION OF BAY AND KING STREET is often seen as the centre of Canadian banking and finance. Four of Canada's FIVE MAJOR BANKS have office towers at the intersection: the Bank of Montreal at First Canadian Place, Scotiabank at Scotia Plaza, CIBC at Commerce Court, and Toronto-Dominion Bank at the Toronto Dominion Centre. Historically, this was known as the "MINT Corner" (Montreal, Imperial, Nova Scotia, Toronto-Dominion) but since 1962 the Imperial Bank has been part of CIBC and the Bank of Nova Scotia has rebranded itself so this nickname is no longer widely used.
Another prominent intersection is the one nearest Yorkville at BAY and Bloor, the centre of an upscale and expensive shopping district.
BAY STREET stretches from Queens Quay (Toronto Harbour) in the south to Davenport Road in the north. The original section of BAY STREET ran only as far north as Queen Street West. Sections north of Queen Street were renamed BAY STREET as several other streets were consolidated and several gaps filled in to create a new thoroughfare in the 1920s. The largest of these streets, Terauley Street, ran from Queen Street West to Grenville Street. At these two points, there is a curve in BAY STREET.
Condominium development on BAY NORTH of the financial district boomed during the 1990s attracting many who work there to live downtown, thereby avoiding the daily commute. The intersection of BAY and BLOOR is the location of the Toronto Transit Commission's BAY subway station. BAY STREET is served by the route 6 BAY bus, which is one of the few downtown bus routes. The street was originally served by streetcars, however the opening of the north-south Yonge Subway in 1954 caused a number of parallel streetcar routes to be replaced by buses, including BAY.
By the way, the popular song GOOD MORNING STARSHINE is from the Broadway musical HAIR. It went to TOP THREE for OLIVER in 1969.

The lively city centre is a mixture of both old and new with modern concrete houses located next to simple wooden huts and congested streets with numerous small shops and street traders.Close to Falmouth, there’s the excitement of Martha Brae River Rafting which is an excellent way to explore this tropical paradise in which dense tropical rain forest shows off all its spectacular colours. It was here on the north coast that Christopher Columbus landed in1502 and where the Spanish were defeated by the British in a bloody battle for sovereign control of the island. Dunn`s River Falls is the name of a waterfall near to Ochos Rios, one of the island’s most well known natural attractions. In swimming attire, more than a million annual visitors attempt to climb through spraying torrents of water whilst linking hands in a human chain. In foaming cascades, the water plunges 200 metres down toward the sea over step-shaped limestone blocks and across an overgrown landscape of ferns and plants. Harmony Hall, a Victorian building that is a reminder of British colonial rule, is the name of an immaculate manor house located on a turn of the century plantation. Today it contains a handicraft centre and also a gallery which displays the works of indigenous artists. James Bond Beach is the name of the former winter retreat of the English author, Ian Fleming, who created British secret agent, James Bond. The famous author wrote most of his fourteen 007 novels on the small island of Golden Eye, of which five were set in Jamaica. Expansive fields of coconut palms dominate the Sun Valley Plantation which continues a tradition that dates back 250 years. In addition to bananas, citrus fruits, papayas, melons and apples, various spices are also cultivated on the plantation. World famous for their coffee beans, the Blue Mountains represent breathtaking primeval nature with a hint of adventure, a further experience in this sun-scorched island of dreams.

The highlight of the trip was getting a chance to visit a Vietnamese boat people refugee camp near Baataan. I met some friendly Pinoys too. The food was great. The transportation readily available. And the landscape extremely beautiful. There are plenty to see and do as well.

The highlight of the trip was getting a chance to visit a Vietnamese boat people refugee camp near Baataan. I met some friendly Pinoys too. The food was great. The transportation readily available. And the landscape extremely beautiful. There are plenty to see and do as well.

We are at Phuket Weekend Market on the island of Phuket in Thailand. The Phuket Weekend Market, or Naka Market, as the locals call it, takes place every Saturday and Sunday from 16:00 until 21:00. The Phuket Weekend Market also known as the Chao Fa Market or Talad Tai, is located on the Chao Fa West Road opposite the Wat Naka, Buddhist temple and about a kilometer from the Central Festival Shopping Mall. We highly recommend that tourists take a taxi or tuk tuk to this night market as it is quite far from the Central Festival Shopping Mall if you do not know where you are heading. We took a Tuk Tuk from Patong Beach to the market and paid 400 Baht for the trip (good price). The journey back to Patong Beach in a taxi cost us 500 Baht. We would imagine that the drive from Kata Beach, Karon Beach and Kammala Beach with a taxi or Tuk Tuk would be a similar price, perhaps a little more for the Kammala ride...
This walking tour of the Phuket Weekend Market only focuses on the food part of this night market, and includes almost every food stall represented at the market. The footage is filmed in UHD 4K quality and as well as trying to capture the atmosphere and delicious foods available for sale in this amazing market we have also tried wherever possible to film the price of the foods. Travelers (tourists) watching this video very closely will notice that many of the price descriptions are only written in Thai, meaning this market is a "Food Fest" targeted towards local Thai people and is not a tourist trap as one may think it to be (if one has never visited before). This is Thai Street Food at its best, we had a fantastic time at this night market.

The Phuket Weekend Market also known as the Chao Fa Market or Talad Tai, is located on the Chao Fa West Road opposite the Wat Naka, Buddhist temple and about a kilometer from the Central Festival Shopping Mall. We highly recommend that tourists take a taxi or tuk tuk to this night market as it is quite far from the Central Festival Shopping Mall if you do not know where you are heading. We took a Tuk Tuk from Patong Beach to the market and paid 400 Baht for the trip (good price). The journey back to Patong Beach in a taxi cost us 500 Baht. We would imagine that the drive from Kata Beach, Karon Beach and Kammala Beach with a taxi or Tuk Tuk would be a similar price, perhaps a little more for the Kammala ride...
This walking tour of the Phuket Weekend Market only focuses on the food part of this night market, and includes almost every food stall represented at the market. The footage is filmed in UHD 4K quality and as well as trying to capture the atmosphere and delicious foods available for sale in this amazing market we have also tried wherever possible to film the price of the foods. Travelers (tourists) watching this video very closely will notice that many of the price descriptions are only written in Thai, meaning this market is a "Food Fest" targeted towards local Thai people and is not a tourist trap as one may think it to be (if one has never visited before). This is Thai Street Food at its best, we had a fantastic time at this night market.

In this San Francisco travel video guide, I travel to San Francisco, California, one of the most scenic cities in the United States, if not the world.
In town for a conference for only four days, only one of which was going to be sunny, I headed out to see as much as I could in a day. I started my day by visiting the Haight-Ashbury district, San Francisco's most famous neighborhood. Ground zero for the Summer of Love, this neighborhood's bohemian past is still evident as you walk around the area, though things have changed quite a bit.
Next I headed to the Mission District, San Francisco's "It" neighborhood right now. Home to a large and varied immigrant population, cheap rents have lured many a young and hip individual to the area, evidenced by the artisanal chocolate shops, used book stores and proliferation of coffee shops. There are also great taco shops here. I visit Taqueria Cancun and El Toro to see which I liked best.
Then I hopped on a boat to get a unique view of the San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge, which we sailed under, then traveled past Alcatraz Island and Angel Island.
Wrapping things up, I walked through the Presidio for a pilgrimage to Lucasfilm, complete with a Yoda fountain, then hiked one of the Presidio's many trails to get a great view as the sun set over the bay.

Hey guys! Today we're taking you with us to Halong Bay. This is our last stop in Vietnam, before flying back to Bangkok and preparing for the next adventure... India.
This was our first time exploring Halong Bay, I imagine many years ago it was a pristine wonder of the world. The limestone cliffs rising out of the emerald waters are awe-inspiring. Unfortunately the breathtakingly beautiful waterscape has been tainted, with trash... lots of it. Some areas were cleaner than others, the area we kayaked through was especially gorgeous. Ti Top island had a nice viewpoint, however, the beach itself was over crowded, and while there were many people swimming there, we opted to skip the swimming. One of highlights of the trip was exploring the cave.
While it was worth experiencing Halong Bay, it was our first and last time. Thanks for coming on the adventure with us!

Reykjavik is Iceland`s gateway to the world and is one of the smallesThe Hallgrims Kirkja is one of Reykjavik’s main landmarks, a Neo Gothic church that was built between 1945 and 1986. It was named after a famous religious minister and poet of the 17th century, Hallgímur Pétursson. Both its design and large dimensions are impressive. Tjörnin is located in the centre of the city, a wonderful small lake surrounded by spacious parks and the new City Hall is also located there. Krists Kirkja is the city’s main Catholic church and in 1989 the Pope preached within its walls marking the first visit of the Pontificate to Iceland. Narrow elegant bridges span across the splendid ponds of the Botanical Garden, a popular destination for the inhabitants of Reykjavik. However, small forests of conifers are the only real sign of nature on this remote and barren island. Chimneys are a rarity in Reykjavik. The majority of its houses are heated by geothermic water. Indeed, many of its pavements and streets are heated, a convenient asset that saves much money on snow clearance and makes life a lot easier for the local population. In Iceland the summer months are bright but in spring and autumn there are long periods when there is little daylight.
