Senior Executive Assistant

This newly created role is required to provide high level strategic and operational administration support to the Chief Executive Officer. Duties shall be undertaken with tact, judgement and discretion while ensuring confidentiality is paramount. Coordination of communication between the Board, the Executive and the management team is a significant part of this accountability.  The role also supports the Board and its various committees and the Senior Management Team.

Alcohol and other Drugs Team Leader / Counsellor Position

Are you a skilled health services professional with experience working with AOD clients and a keen desire to work in the LGBTI community?

VAC, Victoria’s largest provider of LGBTI health services is now recruiting for an appropriately qualified alcohol and drug treatment professional with leadership acumen. Clinically, you will have demonstrable skills and experience in delivering trauma- informed AOD counselling and brief intervention. Knowledge of HIV and Hep C is desirable.

The AOD Team Leader/ Counsellor sits within the Counselling, Alcohol and Drugs Services Program and leads a small team of three. The successful candidate will continue to build upon the success of the already established AOD service. The AOD program has a focus on evidence-based treatment, innovative service development and training and will require a commitment to meaningful client involvement and empowerment.

This position offers you an opportunity to participate in the VAC’s leadership team, contributing to overall program development and planning; to engage in training and capacity building across various health and community sectors, and work collaboratively with the VAC Health Promotion team on AOD related community education and health promotion campaigns.  

The Team Leader/ Counsellor position is fulltime.
