VAC Supports Minus 18 and Safe Schools Coalition

The work organisations like Minus 18 and Safe Schools Coalition do to support same-sex attracted, sex and gender diverse young people is vital. Research consistently indicates these young people have poorer mental health outcomes, and Australian mental health organisations like beyondblue have linked these outcomes to experiences of homophobia and transphobia.

VAC launches PrEP Clinic, full STI testing at PRONTO!

On the back of the announcement of Victoria’s new and expanded PrEPX trial, the Victorian AIDS Council (VAC) is launching two new services at the PRONTO! rapid HIV testing clinic: a PrEP Clinic and a full STI screening service, making PRONTO!

Expungement scheme for historical homosexual convictions

On 1 September, Victoria introduced its scheme to expunge historical convictions for homosexual activity that would not be a criminal offence today.

The Victorian Department of Justice and Regulation provides information on how to apply for expungement under the scheme, either for yourself, for a person you represent as a guardian or power of attorney, or as a representative of a deceased person.
