Medical transport

Community Support volunteer drivers provide transport to medical appointments for people living with HIV.

This service is for people who have difficulty using public transport and have no other way to get to their medical appointments.

To use volunteer transport a letter from a doctor is required explaining the need for assistance. A Community Support staff member will visit to assess the need.

Clients of this service may call Community Support when a medical appointment is planned. Two days' notice to arrange a driver is required. Transport depends on the availability of volunteer drivers.
