Here's my adapted intermediate directing scene from Point Park University based on the book "A Million Little Pieces" by James Frey.

Premise: A boy drinks coffee to make life easier but will his caffeine fix be enough to talk to his longtime crush.
Info: This was the second short film I did for my Production I class. It's mostly inspired by my own addiction to coffee. It's hard to get away from.

Both actors were shot on green screen that I had built in my room while filming on a Panasonic HVX200 with two lights lighting the background. I used Photoshop to build on the sets from stock photos and all the visual effects were done in After Effects with editing and color correction done in Premiere.

Thank you to John Rockovich who allowed me to use his footage in this video. There are many different reasons a psychiatrist/physician may prescribe his or her patient a benzodiazepine (such as Ativan, Xanax, Klonopin, Valium etc). However, the truth of the matter is that many of them prescribe them as if they're safe and effective on a long-term basis and according to many users on online support groups; they were never told of their addictive nature. While everyone handles this class of drug differently, many struggle with it after long-term use. These drugs are not meant for long-term use by any means. After an individual is on the drug for a certain amount of time, they begin to gain tolerance and your dosage will have to increase so you don't go into tolerance withdrawal. Now is the time to let go of these drugs. They're only bad news. Listed below are some websites to help you research the negative aspects of benzodiazepines.

The You Rock Foundation aims to serve as a safe haven for those who have suffered from or are currently suffering from depression - the largest perpetrator of suicide, which is the third leading cause of death among young adults aged fifteen to twenty-four. Using music as a backdrop to spread awareness, educate, and empower, the foundation seeks to pull those suffering out of the dark and show them the possibilities of moving forward with a life that thrives.
