L’Oreal Blow Dry Event

We are delighted and proud to be supported by L’Oréal Hairdressers Against AIDS, who will be fundraising in aid of our cause this year for World AIDS Day.

This World AIDS Day, the L’Oréal Professional Products Division will be hosting a Blow Dry Event at L’Oréal Headquarters in Melbourne. Members of the general public will be able to make a booking, make a donation and receive their very own wash and blow dry by one of the expert hair stylists involved. Funds raised will be donated to VAC/GMHC.

About the Hairdressers Against AIDS program

The Hairdressers Against AIDS program is a unique, global education program raising HIV awareness through regular education programmes hosted by the L’Oréal Professional Products Division brands – L’Oréal Professionnel, Redken and Matrix.

Celebrating 10 years since the initial steps were taken in the development of this programme; in 2005, L’Oréal and UNESCO signed a cooperation agreement to join forces and fight the spread and impact of HIV/AIDS through Hairdressers Against AIDS. L’Oréal has built on its networks and core competency in education to begin integrating an HIV and AIDS-specific module into all its training programmes.

Through Hairdressers Against AIDS, L’Oréal reaches out to communicate with its entire professional constituency – trainees, hairdressers and partnering salons and through them and their clients works to improve knowledge and understanding about HIV and AIDS.

We are sincerely grateful to L’Oréal for their generosity and support of our cause.
