Safari

A safari /səˈfɑːri/ is an overland journey, usually a trip by tourists to Africa. In the past, the trip was often a big-game hunt, but today, safari often refers to trips to observe and photograph wildlife—or hiking and sight-seeing as well.

Etymology

The Swahili word safari means journey, originally from the Arabic سفر (safar) meaning a journey; the verb for "to travel" in Swahili is kusafiri. These words are used for any type of journey, e.g. by bus from Nairobi to Mombasa or by ferry from Dar es Salaam to Unguja. Safari entered the English language at the end of the 1850s thanks to Richard Francis Burton, the famous explorer.

The Regimental March of the King's African Rifles was 'Funga Safari', literally 'tie up the March', or, in other words, pack up equipment ready to march.

Eastern Europe, which remained Eastern Orthodox Christian, was the area of Byzantine cultural influence; after the schism (1054), it developed cultural unity and resistance to the Western world (Catholic and Protestant) within the framework of Slavonic language and the Cyrillic alphabet.

Bro Safari

Nicholas Weiller (born April 6, 1979, age 36), better known by his stage name Bro Safari, also known as Knick, is an American moombahton, trap, and dubstep producer.

Biography

Weiller was born in Rome, Italy and grew up in Atlanta,GA While growing up in Atlanta, Georgia he took to playing several instruments, including, guitar, bass, flute and clarinet. Although an avid punk rock fan, he gained a deep interest in electronic music as a teenager and began producing Drum N' Bass around 1999. He joined the drum and bass trio Evol Intent in 2000 in his hometown of Atlanta. Weiller has also produced trap, moombahton, and dubstep under the moniker Bro Safari starting in 2008.

Weiller formed the EDM group Minus Music with Jake Stanczak and Matthew Kelly, producing EDM under the name. Matthew Kelly eventually received a Doctorate in Middle Eastern Studies, and lived in Jerusalem.

He currently lives in Austin, Texas with his wife Heather, a/k/a Robotpoko, and his son Elliot Weiller.

Effective date

An effective date or as of date is the date upon which something is considered to take effect. This may be different from the date upon which the event actually occurs or is recorded.

In Reserve Fund Planning, an effective date refers to the fiscal-year's first day where changes, voted on at a condo or strata corporation Annual General Meeting (AGM), take effect regardless of whether the vote took place before or after the beginning of the fiscal-year. Game reserve

Game reserves are large areas of land where wild animals live safely or are hunted in a controlled way for sport.

Many game reserves are located in Africa. Most are open to the public, and tourists commonly take sightseeing safaris.

In a game reserve, ecosystems are protected and conservation is usually a key. Indigenous wildlife in its natural habitat help in providing an environment where growth in numbers at a natural rate can occur.

Some game reserves boast more than one ecosystem, sometimes even five, ranging from valley bushveld, savannah grassland and fynbos to riverine forest and acacia woodland; this provides a dramatic improvement on the types of wildlife that are present and the numerous species of birds that thrive on in these environments.

The biggest attraction is the Big Five game (Africa) - rhinoceros, elephant, buffalo, leopard and lion, named so because of the difficulty in hunting them and not their size, which is why the leopard is on the list and the hippopotamus is not.
