FFXIV 2.4 440 4 Star Crafting Gear Guide

In this episode I go through all the requirements to achieve 451 Craftmanship and 407 Control in order to do 4 Star crafting strictly from an equipment point of view. I will make a guide of how to purchase the new 4 Star Recipes in a separate video. The main item upgrades you need to achieve 4 Star are the Supra Main Hand Tool and the Artisan Off Hand Tool. I also had to remeld my chest piece as all items are required to be at the limits of the materia caps if you want to hit the 4 Star requirement unbuffed. The reason to aim for the 4 Star requirement unbuffed is so you can then use CP food, giving you more moves to work towards High Quality crafting. The first item I craft in the video is my Artisan Off Hand Tool. I use Elasia's 3 Star macros to achieve 100% HQ, which I made a separate video for here: http://youtu.be/IgfYIE38LtY I found that after crafting this tool that even while unmelded and using the quested level 50 crafting main hand tool I was still above the 3 Star requirement, so did not require the Artisan Main Hand Tool to proceed. However, you would already have needed to achieve 3 Star on Blacksmith or Carpenter to craft your required Off Hand Tool for this to be effective. I acquired them by using Leatherworker Desynthesis on Bride's Maid Sandals as discussed towards the end of my Leatherworker Desynthesis Powerlevel Guide found here: http://youtu.be/IpumQEDgvE4 After I materia melded my Off Hand Tool and Chest Piece, which is a painful process given the amount of failed and blown up materia, which are very expensive these days. Lastly I got my hands on 3 Master Demateria in order to finish the purchase of my Supra Main Hand Tool.
