Natural Resources is a soul album released by Motown girl group Martha Reeves and the Vandellas in 1970 on the Gordy (Motown) label. The album is significant for the Vietnam War ballad "I Should Be Proud" and the slow jam, "Love Guess Who". The album marked a return from lead singer Martha Reeves, recovering from a time in a mental institution after an addiction to painkillers nearly wrecked her (though it still took her until 1977 to beat her addiction). This was the next-to-last album for the Vandellas, whose success had peaked in the mid-1960s.
The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) is a New York City-based, non-profit international environmental advocacy group, with offices in Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Beijing. Founded in 1970, NRDC today has 2.4 million members and online activities nationwide and a staff of more than 400 lawyers, scientists and other policy experts.
The charity monitoring group Charity Navigator gave the Natural Resources Defense Council four out of four stars in its three rating categories: overall, financial practices, and accountability & transparency.
The NRDC was co-founded in 1970 by John Adams, Richard Ayres, John Bryson, Edward Strohbehn, and Gus Speth. Together with a board of scientists and attorneys the NRDC is at the forefront of the environmental movement. The organization states that it seeks sustainable policies from federal, state and local government and industrial corporations. It seeks to influence federal and state environmental and other agencies, the Congress and state legislatures, and the courts to reduce global warming, limit pollution, and generally conserve energy and increase sustainability of commerce and manufacturing. NRDC participates in litigation in federal and state courts to influence implementation and enforcement of the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and other federal and state laws protecting the environment. The Council also supports an environmental science program that involves NRDC staff and associated scientists, including a program seeking transformation of manufacturing industries to more sustainable production. In addition, the organization states that it educates the public.

David's work won him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series in 1993. Formerly a standup comedian, David went into television comedy, writing and starring in ABC's Fridays, as well as writing briefly for Saturday Night Live. He has won two Primetime Emmy Awards as well as being voted by fellow comedians and comedy insiders as number 23 of the greatest comedy stars ever in a British poll to select The Comedian's Comedian.

The population of the city was 343,829 as of the 2010 U.S. Census. The city is named after the Duke of Orleans, who reigned as Regent for Louis XV from 1715 to 1723, as it was established by French colonists and strongly influenced by their European culture. It is well known for its distinct French and Spanish Creole architecture, as well as its cross-cultural and multilingual heritage. A World Without NRDC imagines an alternate universe in which the Natural Resources Defense Council didn’t sue polluters in defense of our forests, air, water, oceans, wildlife, and children. The video was the cold open of NRDC’S “STAND UP! for the Planet” comedy benefit, produced by NRDC Trustee Laurie David, on April 25, 2017 at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, featuring Larry David, Martin Short, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Tony Hale, Tig Notaro, Pete Davidson, and Jerrod Carmichael. The video was conceived by Scott Z. Burns and produced by RYOT and NRDC. Music generously donated by Moby

Congress created an unsettling loophole in The Food Additives Amendment of 1958, which has allowed food ingredients to bypass U.S. Food and Drug Administration review as long as they are "Generally Recognized as Safe." A half century later, hundreds, even thousands, of uncommon chemicals with unpronounceable names have been added to our food without FDA oversight. The loophole would be better known as "Generally Recognized as Secret."
I did the illustration for this video produced by the amazing guys of Giant Ant for Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). It was quite nice to see my illo works move. :)

This short video demonstrates a new efficient method for recovering reliable local sets of dense correspondences between two images with some shared content. We demonstrate the usefulness of our method using three applications for automatic example-based photograph enhancement: adjusting the tonal characteristics of a source image to match a reference, transferring a known mask to a new image, and kernel estimation for image deblurring. The project is a collaboration between Hebrew University and Adobe Systems. We will present it in the technical paper session at SIGGRAPH '11 in Vancouver this August. You can find more information (including a PDF of the paper and additional results) at http://www.cs.huji.ac.il/labs/cglab/projects/nrdc/ Enjoy!
A shocking look at the environmental and health hazards in New Orleans 2 years after Katrina. The city needs all of our support more than ever. Director's Note: The challenge of this video was portraying these alarming statistics in a visual way that was informative and interesting. I shot a lot of this footage when I was in New Orleans and the scale of waste and wreckage is so huge its tough to represent in a short film or video. You have to go and see it for yourself. Graphics were done by Natalia of Renoleum. She is so talented and easy to work with. Here's her website: renoleum.com This track and most of my music is from Jacob D. Cox who will be very famous some day. Once he is actually discovered. Check out some of his hits at: myspace.com/jacobdcox
Too much in the truth they say
Keep it 'till another day
Let them have their little game
Illusion helps to keep them sane
Let them have their little toys
Fast sports cars and motor noise
Exciting in their plastic place
Frozen food in a concrete maze
You're gonna go insane
I'm trying to save your brain
I don't know what's happening
My head's all torn inside
People say I'm heavy
They don't know what I hide
Take a life, it's going cheap
Kill someone, no one will weep
Freedom's yours, just pay your dues
We just want your soul to use
You're gonna go insane
