Miles Dewey Davis III (May 26, 1926 – September 28, 1991) was an American jazz musician, trumpeter, bandleader, and composer. Widely considered one of the most influential and innovative musicians of the 20th century, Miles Davis was, together with his musical groups, at the forefront of several major developments in jazz music, including bebop, cool jazz, hard bop, modal jazz, post-bop and jazz fusion.
In 2006, Davis was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which recognized him as "one of the key figures in the history of jazz". In 2008, his 1959 album Kind of Blue received its fourth platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), for shipments of at least four million copies in the United States. On December 15, 2009, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a symbolic resolution recognizing and commemorating the album Kind of Blue on its 50th anniversary, "honoring the masterpiece and reaffirming jazz as a national treasure".

John William Coltrane, also known as "Trane" (September 23, 1926 – July 17, 1967), was an American jazz saxophonist and composer. Working in the bebop and hard bop idioms early in his career, Coltrane helped pioneer the use of modes in jazz and was later at the forefront of free jazz. He led at least fifty recording sessions during his career, and appeared as a sideman on many albums by other musicians, including trumpeter Miles Davis and pianist Thelonious Monk.
As his career progressed, Coltrane and his music took on an increasingly spiritual dimension. Coltrane influenced innumerable musicians, and remains one of the most significant saxophonists in music history. He received many posthumous awards and recognitions, including canonization by the African Orthodox Church as Saint John William Coltrane and a special Pulitzer Prize in 2007. His second wife was pianist Alice Coltrane and their son Ravi Coltrane is also a saxophonist.
Edward "Sonny" Stitt (born Edward Boatner, Jr.; February 2, 1924 – July 22, 1982) was an American jazz saxophonist of the bebop/hard bop idiom. He was one of the best-documented saxophonists of his generation, recording over 100 albums. He was nicknamed the "Lone Wolf" by jazz critic Dan Morgenstern, in reference to his relentless touring and devotion to jazz.
Edward Boatner, Jr. was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and grew up in Saginaw, Michigan. He had a musical background; his father, Edward Boatner, was a baritone singer, composer and college music professor, his brother was a classically trained pianist, and his mother was a piano teacher.
Sonny was given up for adoption in 1924 by his father. No one seems to know why Boatner gave his son away, but the child was adopted by the Stitts family, who raised him in Saginaw, Michigan. He later began calling himself "Sonny". While in high school in Saginaw, Stitt played in the Len Francke Band, a local popular swing band.

From the mid-fifties to his death in the early nineties, Miles Davis was universally recognised as one of the most innovative musicians working in Jazz. He was also one of the most popular with his albums regularly breaking into the pop charts and he picked up a total of eight Grammy Awards. He also launched the careers of many jazz musicians including Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, Billy Cobham, John McLaughlin and many more. This concert, filmed in Munich in 1987, followed the release of his Grammy Award winning album Tutu and the set list features two tracks from that record, the title track and "Portia", plus his unique arrangements of Michael Jackson's "Human Nature" and Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time". On August 29th, 1970 Miles Davis and his band played to 600,000 people at the The Isle Of Wight Festival. When asked the title of his one track set, Miles said "Call It Anything". This film, directed by Oscar* winning film maker Murray Lerner, features the entire 38 minute performance from the Isle Of Wight Festival and sets it in context through new interviews with the musicians who played with him and others who took part in the festival or were intimately connected with Miles Davis' career. It also features other performance footage and tells the story of Miles' controversial decision to take his music in to a more electric, rock orientated style, epitomized by his album Bitches Brew, which was released the same year. Among those interviewed are Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Carlos Santa...

Very cool setting and insights.
Short interview with Miles Davis about Kind of Blue and the contribution of Bill Evans. I made an intro with an aborted session track. Then the short interview with Miles and concluding with the intro of "All Blues" I got several interviews from the late Brian Hennessey, Evans friend, writer for Jazz Journal International and founder of the The Bill Evans Memorial Library before he died September 4, 2014. From his material I make some videos.

Neste vídeo apresentamos o projeto Michel Leme e Convidados que acontece todo mês na Luthieria desde 2010. Este vídeo foi gravado no dia 14.06.2014 na Luthieria do Heron Wood. O trio toca, nesse vídeo, as seguintes músicas: - Sonnymoon for Two (Sonny Rollins) 00:00:17 - Solar (Miles Davis) 00:13:46 - Doxy (Sonny Rollins) 00:32:21 - Body and Soul (Heyman, Sour, Eyton, Green) 00:43:29 Músicos: - Michel Leme (Guitarra) - Robson Passos Dias (Baixo) - Daniel de Paula (Bateria) Foi realmente um dia impar naquele lugar, musicalmente falando.

Baby, won't you make up your mind
What are you going to do
Why don't you say that we're through
Your actions are so unkind
Baby, won't you make up your mind
Just don't keep breaking my heart
It seems that you want to part
Baby, won't you make up your mind
You been tug, tug, tuggin' on my poor heartstrings
You been pound, pound, pounding on my brain
My resistance is low, so if you must go
Go and I will refrain, from
Asking you to make up your mind
I'm tired of playin' this game
I've suffered just enough pain
Baby, won't you make up your mind
Baby, won't you make up your mind
Baby, won't you make up your mind
I'm tired of playing this game
I've suffered just enough pain
Baby, won't you make up your mind
Baby, won't you make up...your mind
