Plot: A documentary crew investigates the world of martial arts in rural Western Pennsylvania. What they discover is an odd band of "martial artists" who study the only truly American form of martial arts-American Macho Buddha-which was invented two decades ago by a motorcycle-driving hippie. As their research unfolds, they center their tale on the story of mild-mannered Tim Wheeler, a very average guy who's searching for a way to enhance his own self-esteem by studying this rare and deadly(?) form of combat. What Tim doesn't realize, however, is that he has a natural talent for this particular art, and when others recognize this, it puts him into direct conflict with his Sensei, the absurdly pompous (and jealous) Master Bruce Mublanus.

Quotes:
Jeff: Burger Manifesto Part One is gonna make people think?::Sooze: Yes, you asshole!::Jeff: About what?::Sooze: About things that are important to me!::Jeff: Like what?::Sooze: Sexual politics, racism, the environment, the military...::Jeff: Racism? You don't even know anyone that's black!
Jeff: Idealism is guilty middle-class bullshit.
Jeff: Nothing ever changes, man. Fifty years from now we're all gonna be dead. And there will be another group of people standing here drinking beer, eating pizza, bitching about the price of Oreos and they'll have no idea we were ever here and fifty years after those suckers will be dust and bones and there'll be all these generations of suckers, all trying to figure out what the fuck they're doing on this fucking planet and it'll all be full of shit. It's all so fucking futile.::Tim: If it's all so fucking futile, what the fuck are you so fucking upset about, fuckhead?
Jeff: It doesn't matter what I do as long as I don't care about the results. And that's why now, I'm getting naked.
Jeff: At least I admit that I don't know. I know that things are fucked up, beyond belief, and I have nothing original to say about it...
[What makes for a successful evening]::Buff: Smoke; babe; slice; brew. All four bases.
Jeff: What are you saying?::Sooze: I don't know. And I don't care that I don't know.
Jeff: Anything is possible. It is night on planet earth and I'm alive. And someday I'll be dead. Someday I'll just be bones in a box, but right now, I'm not. And anything is possible. And that's why I can go to New York with Sooze because each moment can just be what it is. There's no failure, there's no mistake. I just, I just go there and live there and what happens, happens. And so, right now I'm getting naked and I'm not afraid. You know? I don't, I don't need money, man. I don't, I don't even need, I don't even need a future. I, I could knock out all of my teeth with a hammer. So what? You know, I could poke my eyes out. I'd still be alive, you know? At least I'd know that I was doing something real for two or three seconds, you know? It's all about feat and I'm not afraid anymore, man. Fuck it! Fuck fear!
Buff: What are you doing now?::Bee-Bee: I don't know. You mean like now? Like right now? Waiting.
Jeff: I don't need a limousine to know who I am. At least I know I don't know.

Taglines: Candy's Place--where all kinds of men find all kinds of sweets! Shock and Shame Story of a Night Girl!
Quotes:
Kelly: I saw a broken down piece of machinery. Nothing but the buck, the bed and the bottle for the rest of my life. That's what I saw.
Candy: Nobody shoves dirty money in my mouth.
Capt. Griff: [Interested in the champagne that Kelly is selling] "Angel Foam"... Never heard of it.::Kelly: It's an exclusive line I'm introducing in this state.::Capt. Griff: Domestic, or... imported?::Kelly: Angel Foam goes down like liquid gold, and it comes up like slow dynamite... For the man of taste.
Mac, Head Nurse: [Referring to Kelly, who, in spite of her shady background, has quickly landed a job at the local children's hospital] She came out of the clouds one night, without a single reference. I hired her on the spot.::Capt. Griff: [Suspiciously] I thought orthopedics called for specialized training?::Mac, Head Nurse: Oh, it does! Some people are born to write books, symphonies; paint pictures, build bridges. But Kelly... She was born to handle children with crutches and babies in braces.::Capt. Griff: [Still not convinced] Sounds like one of those sweet Florence Nightingales.::Mac, Head Nurse: Not Kelly, she's tough! Runs her ward like a pirate ship! She makes Captain Bligh look like a sissy.
Buff: [Referring to the offer to work at Candy's club as a prostitute, which Kelly seeks to talk her out of] Friend said I could make 300 dollars a week.::Kelly: All right, go ahead. You know what's different about the first night? Nothing. Nothing... except it lasts forever, that's all. You'll be sleeping on the skin of a nightmare for the rest of your life. Oh, you're a beautiful girl, Buff. Young... Oh, they'll outbid each other for you. You'll get clothes, compliments, cash... And you'll meet men *you* live on... and men who live on you. And those are the only men you'll meet. And, after a steady grind of making EVERY john feel at home, you'll become a block of ice. If you do happen to melt a little, you'll get slipped a tip behind Candy's back. You'll be every man's wife-in-law, and no man's wife. Why, your world with Candy will become so warped that you'll hate all men. And you'll hate yourself! Because you'll become a social problem, a medical problem, a MENTAL problem!... And a despicable failure as a woman.
J.L. Grant: Now you know why I can never marry a normal woman. That's why I love you. You understand my sickness. You been conditioned to people like me. You live in my world, and it will be an EXCITING world!::J.L. Grant: [Now on his knees] My darling... our marriage... will be a paradise... because we're BOTH abnormal.
