Come Together: American Artists Respond to Al-Mutanabbi Street

The Smithsonian Libraries opens “Come Together: American Artists Respond to Al-Mutanabbi Street,” at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and National Portrait Gallery Library beginning Feb. 1. The Libraries will host the Seventh Annual Commemorative Reading to remember the 2007 bombing of Al-Mutanabbi Street on March 5 at 6 p.m. in the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s McEvoy Auditorium, 8th and G Streets N.W.

Smithsonian Libraries Research Opportunities 2016-2017

The Smithsonian Libraries will award grants to Baird Society, Dibner Library and Penick Resident Scholars in the 2016-2017 acacemic year. These competitive grants are offered to historians, librarians and bibliographers, as well as predoctoral and postdoctoral students, with an approved research project.
