DISAMBIGUATION
This poem belongs to a collection called Espejo Fémina (Woman as a Mirror) that I made with my mother, Nancy M. Gallegos (or Crimson X).
Espejo Fémina is a timeline inside a History that has always seen women as a secondary character in a tale of misconceptions and games of power.
Primitive attempt to escape
the prison bars
of an endless alphabet
of brands
and proper name hats.
A lense, a crystal
and a mirror´s quarrel.
Eternal alienation
from our true selves.
A mirror might be a stage
but not a tunnel.
A lense and a crystal
would always wish
they were that silver
and that convex.

Alphabet
An alphabet is a standard set of letters (basic written symbols or graphemes) which is used to write one or more languages based on the general principle that the letters represent phonemes (basic significant sounds) of the spoken language. This is in contrast to other types of writing systems, such as syllabaries (in which each character represents a syllable) and logographies (in which each character represents a word, morpheme, or semantic unit).
A true alphabet has letters for the vowels of a language as well as the consonants. The first "true alphabet" in this sense is believed to be the Greek alphabet, which is a modified form of the Phoenician alphabet. ElixirConf 2021 - Vanessa Lee - And Yet Akin: Name Disambiguation in Elixir
Synonymity and homonymity make name disambiguation difficult. To ease this difficulty, I combined two unmaintained Elixir string comparison libraries and added preprocessing and a double metaphone algorithm. The result is a comprehensive map of scores for pattern identification and machine learning. This talk will address the pre-processing, algorithms, and scoring as well as the strengths and limitations. A live demonstration of scoring will allow us to identify patterns. We end with a discussion of how to gain further benefits from the scores.

This poem belongs to a collection called Espejo Fémina (Woman as a Mirror) that I made with my mother, Nancy M. Gallegos (or Crimson X).
Espejo Fémina is a timeline inside a History that has always seen women as a secondary character in a tale of misconceptions and games of power.
Primitive attempt to escape
the prison bars
of an endless alphabet
of brands
and proper name hats.
A lense, a crystal
and a mirror´s quarrel.
Eternal alienation
from our true selves.
A mirror might be a stage
but not a tunnel.
A lense and a crystal
would always wish
they were that silver
and that convex.
