이승철의 오랜 파트너 전해성이 함께한 타이틀 곡 'My Love'는 리드미컬한 신디사이저와 슬프면서 감미로운 멜로디가 잘 어우러진 미디엄 템포의 팝락. 애틋한 가사를 최루로 해석하지 않고 조금은 담담하게 표현, 절제된 감동을 주고 있다. 특히 이 곡에서 주목해야 할 것은 곡의 템포와 상관없이 드럼비트의 사이사이를 넘나들며 슬픈 감정을 자유자재로 표현하는 이승철의 테크닉이다. 이별의 슬픔을 강요하듯 감정을 쏟아내지 않아 오히려 더 애틋함이 드러난다.

Lee Seung Chul is back with his 11 th album. The album titled 'My Love' is full of feelings we have in life. The song 'The Day To Love' was released last week ahead of the full release of the songs. The album is available online the 18 th of June and 19 th at stores. Lee himself praised the song as he was interviewed that he had conveyed the deepest emotion in the song. His lifelong partner Jun Hae Sung wrote the song and Park Jee Yun played the piano.

이승철이 한동안 숨을 고르고 11집 앨범을 완성했다. 28년 간 오롯이 뮤지션의 길을 걸어온 그는 지금껏 구축해 온 이승철이라는 뮤지션의 정체성과 새로운 시도를 함께 담아내고자 했다.

이승철의 오랜 파트너 전해성이 함께한 타이틀 곡 'My Love'는 리드미컬한 신디사이저와 슬프면서 감미로운 멜로디가 잘 어우러진 미디엄 템포의 팝락. 애틋한 가사를 최루로 해석하지 않고 조금은 담담하게 표현, 절제된 감동을 주고 있다. 특히 이 곡에서 주목해야 할 것은 곡의 템포와 상관없이 드럼비트의 사이사이를 넘나들며 슬픈 감정을 자유자재로 표현하는 이승철의 테크닉이다. 이별의 슬픔을 강요하듯 감정을 쏟아내지 않아 오히려 더 애틋함이 드러난다.
