Warlock is a 1959 western film directed by Edward Dmytryk and starring Henry Fonda, Anthony Quinn, Richard Widmark, and Dorothy Malone. It is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by American author Oakley Hall.
Fonda portrays Clay Blaisedell, a freelance marshal in the fictional town of Warlock with implacable methods of dealing with troublemakers. The film has a subplot centering around Blaisedell's club-footed assistant, Tom Morgan. Content to stay in the background, Morgan has sublimated his relationships and ambition into a warped devotion to Blaisedell, the only person Morgan thinks does not look down on him for his disability. A woman Morgan rejected in favor of his life as a sidekick soon arrives and seeks vengeance by setting the townsfolk against Blaisedell. Far from asserting himself, the marshal plans to quit and get married, much to Morgan's disgust. Morgan remonstrates that his skill as a gunman is far superior to his conventionally heroic friend's, and is the only thing that has been keeping the honorable Blaisedell alive. Blaisedell attempts to stop a spurned Morgan running amok, and with ulterior motives Morgan challenges Blaisedell to a duel in front of the watching town.
As in the earlier film Wichita (1955), the conflict of the law with the outlaw runs parallel to the resentment of the town's own leadership.

In the latest attack on Tinkers Horse Sanctuary, in Bluebell Road, the buildings were ransacked and set on fire on Friday night.
The sanctuary that cares for 36 old and sick animals has been targeted by thieves six times in the last seven months.
In the aftermath of the flames, Julie Bassett, 49, the owner, estimates there is more than £40,000 worth of damage.
The side of the new barn has been left in ashes and tractors burnt out.
Now, the future of the haven for animals is unclear.

She said: “It is just 16 years of hard work gone and now I have to think of the ponies’ safety, it started with them stealing buckets and rugs and now they have burnt the place down, what will they do next?
“I don’t know if I can go on, but all of the ponies and donkeys are old or sick, so people won’t want them, if I can’t do it they might have to be put down.”
The fire service were called at around 9.55pm by a passer-by who spotted the flames and again a few minutes later by someone who could smell smoke.
All of the city’s fire engines were at the scene putting out the flames in a matter of minutes.
Firefighters from Sprowston, Earlham and Carrow used main jets and a hydrant.
Mrs Bassett, added: “The ponies are lucky to have gotten away and hidden at the end of the field, it was started in the tractor shed, they must have dropped a match in one of the petrol tanks.
“It is just horrendous, it is really upsetting, I just don’t know where to go from here, what do you do when someone just sets fire to it all.”
Little Tinkers Horse Sanctuary has just recovered from a break-in on Friday, January 8, after its barns were damaged and equipment stolen worth thousands of pounds.
People rallied and donations – both financial and equipment – flooded in.

Parody
A parody (/ˈpærədi/; also called spoof, send-up, take-off or lampoon), in use, is a work created to imitate, make fun of, or comment on an original work, its subject, author, style, or some other target, by means of satiric or ironic imitation. As the literary theorist Linda Hutcheon puts it, "parody … is imitation, not always at the expense of the parodied text." Another critic, Simon Dentith, defines parody as "any cultural practice which provides a relatively polemical allusive imitation of another cultural production or practice." Parody may be found in art or culture, including literature, music (although "parody" in music has an earlier, somewhat different meaning than for other art forms), animation, gaming and film.
The writer and critic John Gross observes in his Oxford Book of Parodies, that parody seems to flourish on territory somewhere between pastiche ("a composition in another artist's manner, without satirical intent") and burlesque (which "fools around with the material of high literature and adapts it to low ends"). Meanwhile, the Encyclopédie of Denis Diderot distinguishes between the parody and the burlesque, "A good parody is a fine amusement, capable of amusing and instructing the most sensible and polished minds; the burlesque is a miserable buffoonery which can only please the populace." Historically, when a formula grows tired, as in the case of the moralistic melodramas in the 1910s, it retains value only as a parody, as demonstrated by the Buster Keaton shorts that mocked that genre.

In the latest attack on Tinkers Horse Sanctuary, in Bluebell Road, the buildings were ransacked and set on fire on Friday night. The sanctuary that cares for 36 old and sick animals has been targeted by thieves six times in the last seven months. In the aftermath of the flames, Julie Bassett, 49, the owner, estimates there is more than £40,000 worth of damage. The side of the new barn has been left in ashes and tractors burnt out. “I don’t know if I can go on, but all of the ponies and donkeys are old or sick, so people won’t want them, if I can’t do it they might have to be put down.”
The fire service were called at around 9.55pm by a passer-by who spotted the flames and again a few minutes later by someone who could smell smoke.
All of the city’s fire engines were at the scene putting out the flames in a matter of minutes.
Firefighters from Sprowston, Earlham and Carrow used main jets and a hydrant.
Mrs Bassett, added: “The ponies are lucky to have gotten away and hidden at the end of the field, it was started in the tractor shed, they must have dropped a match in one of the petrol tanks.
“It is just horrendous, it is really upsetting, I just don’t know where to go from here, what do you do when someone just sets fire to it all.”
Little Tinkers Horse Sanctuary has just recovered from a break-in on Friday, January 8, after its barns were damaged and equipment stolen worth thousands of pounds.
People rallied and donations – both financial and equipment – flooded in.

• Fundraising campaign to help Tinkers Horse Sanctuary
She said: “It is just 16 years of hard work gone and now I have to think of the ponies’ safety, it started with them stealing buckets and rugs and now they have burnt the place down, what will they do next?
“I don’t know if I can go on, but all of the ponies and donkeys are old or sick, so people won’t want them, if I can’t do it they might have to be put down.”
The fire service were called at around 9.55pm by a passer-by who spotted the flames and again a few minutes later by someone who could smell smoke.
All of the city’s fire engines were at the scene putting out the flames in a matter of minutes.
Firefighters from Sprowston, Earlham and Carrow used main jets and a hydrant.
Mrs Bassett, added: “The ponies are lucky to have gotten away and hidden at the end of the field, it was started in the tractor shed, they must have dropped a match in one of the petrol tanks.
“It is just horrendous, it is really upsetting, I just don’t know where to go from here, what do you do when someone just sets fire to it all.”
Little Tinkers Horse Sanctuary has just recovered from a break-in on Friday, January 8, after its barns were damaged and equipment stolen worth thousands of pounds.
People rallied and donations – both financial and equipment – flooded in.

In the latest attack on Tinkers Horse Sanctuary, in Bluebell Road, the buildings were ransacked and set on fire on Friday night. The sanctuary that cares for 36 old and sick animals has been targeted by thieves six times in the last seven months. Fonda portrays Clay Blaisedell, a freelance marshal in the fictional town of Warlock with implacable methods of dealing with troublemakers. The film has a subplot centering around Blaisedell's club-footed assistant, Tom Morgan. Content to stay in the background, Morgan has sublimated his relationships and ambition into a warped devotion to Blaisedell, the only person Morgan thinks does not look down on him for his disability. A woman Morgan rejected in favor of his life as a sidekick soon arrives and seeks vengeance by setting the townsfolk against Blaisedell. Far from asserting himself, the marshal plans to quit and get married, much to Morgan's disgust. Morgan remonstrates that his skill as a gunman is far superior to his conventionally heroic friend's, and is the only thing that has been keeping the honorable Blaisedell alive. Blaisedell attempts to stop a spurned Morgan running amok, and with ulterior motives Morgan challenges Blaisedell to a duel in front of the watching town.
As in the earlier film Wichita (1955), the conflict of the law with the outlaw runs parallel to the resentment of the town's own leadership.

In the latest attack on Tinkers Horse Sanctuary, in Bluebell Road, the buildings were ransacked and set on fire on Friday night.
The sanctuary that cares for 36 old and sick animals has been targeted by thieves six times in the last seven months.
In the aftermath of the flames, Julie Bassett, 49, the owner, estimates there is more than £40,000 worth of damage.
The side of the new barn has been left in ashes and tractors burnt out.
Now, the future of the haven for animals is unclear.

She said: “It is just 16 years of hard work gone and now I have to think of the ponies’ safety, it started with them stealing buckets and rugs and now they have burnt the place down, what will they do next?
“I don’t know if I can go on, but all of the ponies and donkeys are old or sick, so people won’t want them, if I can’t do it they might have to be put down.”
The fire service were called at around 9.55pm by a passer-by who spotted the flames and again a few minutes later by someone who could smell smoke.
All of the city’s fire engines were at the scene putting out the flames in a matter of minutes.
Firefighters from Sprowston, Earlham and Carrow used main jets and a hydrant.
Mrs Bassett, added: “The ponies are lucky to have gotten away and hidden at the end of the field, it was started in the tractor shed, they must have dropped a match in one of the petrol tanks.
“It is just horrendous, it is really upsetting, I just don’t know where to go from here, what do you do when someone just sets fire to it all.”
Little Tinkers Horse Sanctuary has just recovered from a break-in on Friday, January 8, after its barns were damaged and equipment stolen worth thousands of pounds.
People rallied and donations – both financial and equipment – flooded in.

Sheriff Bull Harper (George Mathews) is taking "Comanche" Todd (Richard Widmark), a white man who has lived most of his life among the Indians, to be tried for the murder of Harper's three brothers. The pair join a wagon train led by Colonel Normand (Douglas Kennedy). Harper's brutal treatment of Todd causes friction with some members of the wagon train. Grunk's letters are the only ones that Santa Claus receives though, so the Christmas Spirit stays away. This is dangerous because without the Christmas Spirit, Santa Claus and his family will be turned into grey stable elfs. So Krumme has a lot to do if he wants to help Santa Claus and save Christmas before it's too late.
The English subtitles are done by me. Not every single word has been subbed, and the songs and verse have mostly been subbed so that they fit into English. I admit, that there are places where it has been subbed literally because I couldn't make the rhymes or stanzas fit since the words are too long in English as opposed to Danish.
No copyright infringement intended. I just wanted to give non-Danish speakers an opportunity to see what kind of programmes 'all' children watch every year in Denmark.

Sheriff Bull Harper (George Mathews) is taking "Comanche" Todd (Richard Widmark), a white man who has lived most of his life among the Indians, to be tried for the murder of Harper's three brothers. The pair join a wagon train led by Colonel Normand (Douglas Kennedy). Harper's brutal treatment of Todd causes friction with some members of the wagon train. When the sheriff beats a lad for giving Todd a pipe to smoke, Todd takes advantage of the distraction to kill his tormentor with a dropped axe.
Then, while some of the young people sneak away for a late night swim, the Apaches kill everyone else. Todd miraculously survives a fall when the wagon to which he is tied is thrown off a cliff. The Apaches are gathering to avenge the massacre of their own women and children by the whites. It is up to Todd to lead the six other survivors to safety, despite the distrust of some of them. Along the way, he and Jenny (Felicia Farr) fall in love.
Despite saving a small U.S. cavalry detachment from an ambush, Todd is recognized and brought to trial. He reveals that

Story:Krummerne is not an ordinary family, and this Christmas won't be ordinary either.
Krumme is a boy who still believes in Santa Claus. Every night the family sends little brother Grunk's letters out of the window to Santa Claus with a magical poem. Grunk's letters are the only ones that Santa Claus receives though, so the Christmas Spirit stays away. This is dangerous because without the Christmas Spirit, Santa Claus and his family will be turned into grey stable elfs. So Krumme has a lot to do if he wants to help Santa Claus and save Christmas before it's too late.
The English subtitles are done by me. Not every single word has been subbed, and the songs and verse have mostly been subbed so that they fit into English. I admit, that there are places where it has been subbed literally because I couldn't make the rhymes or stanzas fit since the words are too long in English as opposed to Danish.
No copyright infringement intended. I just wanted to give non-Danish speakers an opportunity to see what kind of programmes 'all' children watch every year in Denmark.
