Buena Familia

Buena Familia is a 2015 Philippine family drama series directed by Gil C. Tejada, starring Kylie Padilla, Martin del Rosario, Julie Anne San Jose, Jake Vargas and Julian Trono. The drama series premiered on GMA Network and worldwide via GMA Pinoy TV on July 28, 2015, replacing the top-rating drama series Yagit on the network's Afternoon Prime block. The drama series also features the return of the loveteam of Bobby Andrews and Angelu de Leon to Philippine television.

Plot

The Buenas are the epitome of an ideal household; prominent, educated, and very wealthy. Arthur, the father, is a successful investment tycoon and his wife, Bettina, engages in all the big social events. Their beautiful children Celine, Darling, Edwin, and Faye, all study in exclusive schools. Everything seemed perfect with the Buenas until Josephine Carter enters the picture.

Josephine poses as a new investor who later claims she was ruthlessly scammed by Arthur. It turns out that not only was she Arthur's former assistant, she was his disgruntled mistress as well. Now she plans to exact revenge on Arthur and ruin the Buena family in the process. Arthur is sentenced to jail and the family eventually lose all their wealth and holdings. Later, Bettina suffers a nervous breakdown and is institutionalized.

Buena, New Jersey

Buena (pronounced /bjuːnə/ BYOO-nə) is a borough in Atlantic County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 4,603, reflecting an increase of 730 (+18.8%) from the 3,873 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn declined by 568 (-12.8%) from the 4,441 counted in the 1990 Census.

History

Charles K. Landis was a land developer who was the driving force behind the creation of Hammonton and Vineland. Landis also had a hand in establishing other small communities, including Landisville, in Buena Borough. He planned to make it county seat of a new county called Landis County, which would incorporate land from the surrounding counties. However, the locals were against this, and began calling him "King Landis".

Buena was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on September 1, 1948, from portions of Buena Vista Township. The borough was reincorporated on May 18, 1949. The borough derives its named from Buena Vista Township, which in turn was named for the 1847 Battle of Buena Vista during the Mexican–American War.

Buena (CTA station)

Buena was a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's Howard Line, which is now part of the Red Line. The station was located at Buena Street and Kenmore Avenue in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago. Buena was situated north of Sheridan and south of Wilson. Buena opened on May 31, 1900, and closed on August 1, 1949, along with 23 other stations as part of a CTA service revision.

Cosmibuena

Cosmibuena is a genus of flowering plants in the family Rubiaceae. The genus is native to Chiapas, Central America, and South America as far south as Brazil.

These are succulent shrubs and trees, often growing as epiphytes. The leaves are oppositely arranged. The inflorescence is a terminal cluster or sometimes a solitary flower. The flowers are large, showy, and fragrant. They are white, fading yellow. They open at night and dry out and die the next day. The fruit is a woody capsule containing papery winged seeds.

These plants grow in wet lowlands, mountain forests, and mangroves.

Familia (political party)

The Familia ("The Family", from Latin familia) was the name of an 18th-century Polish political party (or political faction more precisely) led by the House of Czartoryski and allied families. It was formed towards the end of the reign of King of Poland Augustus II the Strong (reign. 1697–1706, 1709–1733). The Familia's principal leaders were Michał Fryderyk Czartoryski, Grand Chancellor of Lithuania, his brother August Aleksander Czartoryski, Voivode of Ruthenia (Rus), and their brother-in-law (from 1720), Stanisław Poniatowski, Castellan of Kraków.

Formation

During the interregnum in 1733, the Familia supported Stanisław I Leszczyński for King. Polish Kings in the period were elected by ballot, by the nobility (Elective Monarchy). The Familia decided to support the Saxon Frederick Augustus II as candidate (elected King Augustus III - reign. 1734–1763 in Poland), instead, and thus became a party of the Royal Court. Following the failure of the Polish Sejm to pass reforms (between 1744 and 1750) the Familia distanced itself from the struggling Royal Court. In foreign affairs, they now represented a pro-Russian orientation (see "War of Polish Succession").

Familia (film)

Familia is a 2005 French-language Canadian drama film. It was directed and written by Louise Archambault.

Plot

The story revolves around two main characters: Michèle (Moreau, also known as "Charlotte Rocks her Socks"), a free-spirited aerobics instructor with a penchant for gambling, and Janine (Grenon), a suburban housewife and home decorator with a cheating husband. The lives of these two longtime friends intersect when Michele goes to live with Janine to escape an abusive boyfriend. Tensions abound as Michele's daughter Marguerite (St. Sauveur) introduces Janine's daughter Gabrielle (Gosselin) to a world of boys, drugs, and alcohol. Meanwhile, Michele can't quite kick her gambling addiction - no matter how many people she seems to hurt and deceive. Things come to a head when Janine confronts her adulterous husband and Marguerite discovers she's pregnant.
