I had the chance to shoot with thr RNLI on monday during a exorcise So I took the DJI Inspire1 with me. The wind was gusting really a lot so it was the first time that I actually put my prop locks on. New Brighton is on the Wirral Peninsula, on the banks of the River Mersey opposite to Liverpool and is one of 3 RNLI stations on Wirral. The station is one of the four RNLI lifeboat stations that operates an inshore rescue hovercraft alongside the more conventional rapid response lifeboat. The hovercraft is the ideal vehicle for operations on the extensive mud and sand banks of the area while the lifeboat can operate in very difficult sea conditions in deep and shallow water. The station is manned entirely by volunteers and our normal area of operations cover the Mersey Estuary, Liverpool Bay and the River Mersey beyond Widnes plus the Wirral and Sefton coastlines. They are one of the busiest stations in the north of England. There has been a lifeboat on the Mersey since the 1820's with the establishment in January 1863 of the RNLI New Brighton Lifeboat Station. The station has a remarkable 150 year history of bravery with 48 awards for gallantry and our volunteer crews have saved many lives over the years.
