Meols /ˈmɛlz/ is a village on the northern coast of the Wirral Peninsula, England. It is contiguous with the larger town of Hoylake, situated immediately to the west. Historically in Cheshire, since 1 April 1974 it has been a part of the Metropolitan Borough of Wirral in the metropolitan county of Merseyside. The 2001 Census recorded the population of Meols as 5,110 (2,380 males, 2,730 females). The population of Meols was no longer recorded at the Census 2011. For more general statistics see Meols (Ward).
Meols was named as such by the Vikings; its original name from the Old Norse for 'sand dunes' was melr, becoming melas by the time of the Domesday Survey.

Something must have spooked horses & they took off, running across Bennett's Lane, with 3 frightened young girls 'on board'. Fortunately, no vehicles on the road at that time, or there could have been a very nasty accident. Unfortunately, one of the girls fell off (hopefully not too seriously hurt as she later walked off with her Mum & didn't want ambulance). Couldn't catch up with loose horse, but the stables are just at the end of the path they were running down.

ME ENCONTRè CON LOS HIJOS DEL DOLOR Y LA RESIGNACIñN
DESCUBRIENDO QUE SU VERDAD NO EXISTìA PARA LOS DEMàS.
Y QUE SU VIDA NO TIENE VALOR, QUE ESTàN HARTOS DE ESQUIVAR.
ME LAMENTARON QUE NO PODìAN VER EL BIEN AJENO
DEL MONTñN DE LOS DEMàS.
RESISTì. FUE MI VOZ LA QUE CUMPLE EL MANDATO.
ESQUIVAR, ENFRENTAR, TROPEZAR ES MADURAR.
PUDIERON ENTENDER QUE LA MISERIA ESTà CLAVADA EN EL ALMA.
©DE QUè SIRVE FINGIR CUANDO UNO TIENE MàS?
SI EL VALOR NO ES MATERIAL.
SER INMATERIAL ALMA RACIONAL
ES ESTAR DE PIE Y NO AFLOJAR.
LA MENTIRA AçN ES LA QUE GANA
PERO LA VERDAD SIEMPRE DE PIE ESTà.
SALIERON A ESQUIVAR LOS ODIOS
TENIENDO EN CLARO UNA ESCALA DE VALOR
DEMOSTRANDO AL QUE FINGE LA VIDA
QUE SE PUEDE GANAR TODO, GANAR SIENDO LIMPIO
SIN VENDER EL ALMA, CREYENDO EN Tç MISMO.

PERO LA VERDAD SIEMPRE DE PIE ESTà.
ME ENCONTRè CON LOS HIJOS
QUE YA ESTàN DE PIE, NO VAN A AFLOJAR.
