On last night's episode of “Wicked Tuna,” the fishermen of Gloucester, Massachusetts are hunting once again for the elusive bluefin. As the competition to catch the biggest and largest quantity of their prize bluefin tuna, they often experience having a fish on the line for hours, only to lose it when it pulls the hook or the line snaps. See what other troubles befall these warriors on this episode titled, “Help Wanted.”
As the episode begins, Hard Merchandise is again in the lead, after catching four beauties last week. The harpoon boats are along on this episode as Kristiana is in the lead over Lily. The FV-Tuna.com is down a crewman as Sandro and Captain Dave are without Geordie for just this week, as he is on loan to the Wicked Pissah. Is this a kinder and gentler Dave Carraro this season? Geordie heard how tough Paul is to work with, but so far they are fine.
As the airplane spots fish for the Lily, even the pilot knows that as the waters get colder, the fish will be swimming deeper until he can no longer see them from above. Captain Hollywood is arrogant, like the bad guys on professional wrestling.
On the Pin Wheel, Tyler brought back his long-haired mate Travis, but he is missing his hair that he donated. Good job, Travis. Now go catch some fish.
On the Hard Merchandise, Jayson is back and Joe has some well-deserved time off, after the week they had. On the Kristiana, they are hunting for the tuna, but they are not coming to the surface too readily.
The harpoon boats are neck in neck for the lead as each catches a fish simultaneously, but the Lily catches the third one, which could take the lead away from the Kristiana. At the dock, Greg brings in his two fish. First one weighs 185 and pays $12 for $2,220 while the second weighs 209 and pays $15 for $3,135, for a nice payday.
Hollywood came in with their Trifecta weighing 148, 233 and 368 respectively. The 148 paid only $6 for $888; the 233 paid $14 for $3,262, and the 368 paid $22 for $8,096 pushing them ahead of Kristiana.
On the Wicked Pissah, they have been out for a few days, and no fish has been caught. Geordie wants to buy a house, so every fish counts. On the Dot.com, they have been catching, but the smart fish keep pulling hooks. Finally, they get one on the line, and over the rail it came. At the dock, it weighs 241 and pays $20 for $4,820.
The Pin Wheel gets a bite and with a bit of sweat and tears, he comes over the rail. As Dave and Sandro are napping, their reel starts spinning. As they run to the rod, it takes a short time to pull him in. At the dock, he weighed 438 and paid $14 for $6,132.
The Hard Merchandise gets another on the line, but this one is a shark. On the Wicked Pissah, they get a reel spin and finally pull this one in, but he put up a fight, on the dock, he weighed 413 pounds and paid $14 for $5,782.
The Dot.com brought in their fish that weighed 495 and paid $18 for $8,910 and a good payday for doing a good deed on this episode of "Wicked Tuna."
At the end of week six:
FV-Tuna.Com has eight fish for $34,835.
Hard Merchandise has six fish for $27,918.
Hot Tuna has four fish for $26,218.
Pin Wheel has four fish for $18,834.
Lily has six fish for $17,214.
Wicked Pissah has four for $16,777.
Kristiana has five fish for $15,777.
