Yup, She's DEFENDING Uganda's Anti-Gay Laws!
"The right-wing women's group Concerned Women for America (CWFA) expressed outrage on Sunday that President Barack Obama condemned a Ugandan anti-LGBT bill that would punish homosexual behavior with lifetime imprisonment. According to the Joe My God blog, CWFA spokesperson Janice Shaw Crouse said that the president's "arrogance is breathtaking" for saying that Ugandan government should stop imprisoning and torturing men it suspects of being gay. On Sunday, Obama released an official White House statement condemning Uganda's proposed law outlawing same sex marriages and imposing lifetime prison sentences for repeated homosexual acts." Obama Preaches to Uganda Vs Gay-Punishment Law
UGANDA— President Obama on Sunday warned Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni that enacting an imminent anti-gay law would complicate Uganda's relations with the U.S. Obama also called the law a "step backward for all Ugandans." While playing golf in Southern California, Obama issued a statement that condemns Uganda's apparent plan to enact a law that would impose harsh sentences for those convicted of homosexual acts. National Security Adviser Susan Rice said via Twitter that she had conversed with the Ugandan leader to protest the law after he had said he'd sign it. http://news.msn.com/world/obama-warns-uganda-leader-over-anti-gay-law Download your free Next News "Heroes & Villains" Poster here: http://nextnewsnetwork.com/the-2013-heroes-villains-posters Donate USD: http://nnn.is/donate-dollars Donate BTC: http://nnn.is/donate-bitcoin LIVE: http://NextNewsNetwork.com Facebook: http://Facebook.com/NextNewsNet Twitter: http://Twitter.com/NextNewsNet Sub: http://NNN.is/the_new_media Meet the Next News Team: http://youtu.be/2QnNKwQ2WkY Hashtag: #N3 About: Next News Network's WHDT World News program airs daily at 6pm and 11pm Eastern on Comcast, DirecTV and Over-the-Air and Online at http://NNN.is/on-WHDT WHDT World News is available to 6 million viewers from South Beach to Sebastian, Florida and to 2 million viewers in Boston, Massachusetts via WHDN. Anti-Gay Law: Lawmakers, journalists in fiery exchange
Lawmakers highly critical of the recently passed Anti-homosexuality Bill Monday engaged in a fiery exchange with journalists at Parliament who turned up to cover a news conference. The two MPs, Sam Otada Amooti of Kibanda and Fox Odoi of West Budama North refused to take questions from journalists saying the conduct of the journalists was unprofessional. The Uganda gay community is also appealing to the International Criminal Court to challenge what they say is a radical piece of legislation. Uganda Dismisses Obama Pressure On Anti-gay Law
Uganda on Tuesday dismissed U.S. president Barack Obama's call to its leader Yoweri Museveni not to sign an anti-homosexuality law, saying the U.S. was trying to blackmail the east African country. On Sunday, two days after President Museveni said he would sign the law widely criticized abroad as harsh and unjust, Obama warned that would complicate United States relations with Uganda and be a "step backward for all Ugandans." A senior Obama administration official said Washington, a major aid donor sending more than $400 million a year, would review U.S. relations with Uganda, a key regional ally in the fight against Islamic extremism in Somalia. http://feeds.reuters.com/~r/Reuters/worldNews/~3/6m2DiqWUmSs/story01.htm http://www.wochit.com- published: 19 Feb 2014
