Wendy Kristianasen is editorial director of Le Monde diplomatique’s English edition. Based in London, she started this edition in 1997. A specialist on the Middle East and Muslim world, she has particular experience of Islamist movements, and has been writing for the parent French edition since 1990

Philippe Rivière heads the parent French edition’s IT team, overseeing the English website

Guillaume Barou is based in Paris and is responsible for the design and content management of the English website

Translators

George Miller translates for LMD and interviews our authors for a monthly Diplomatic Channels podcast. He lives in Bath

Barbara Wilson helped set up the English edition back in 1997 and still translates for us, inter alia the monthly editorial. She is based in London

Robert Waterhouse is a journalist, formerly with The Guardian. Now living in Nice, he also writes for the English edition

Stephanie Irvine is a journalist with the BBC World Service, based in London

Krystyna Horko is a specialist on China and lives in Paris

Charles Goulden is a Japan specialist and lives in London

Barry Smerin is specialised in central and eastern Europe, and lives in Poland

Tom Genrich is a translator, writer and ghostwriter. He lives in France in the Cévennes mountains
