Guomao (simplified Chinese: 国贸; traditional Chinese: 國貿; pinyin: guó mào) is an area in Beijing at the centre of the Beijing central business district, marked by the intersection of Jianguomen Outer Street and the Third Ring Road. The Chinese World Trade Center is located there. It was formerly known as Dabeiyao(simplified Chinese: 大北窑; traditional Chinese: 大北窯; pinyin: dàběiyáo), and bus stops in the vicinity still bear this name.
Guomao is also the name of the interchange station on Line 1 and Line 10.
During the Ming Dynasty, the area was pastureland outside the city walls, and served as a hunting ground for the imperial family. During World War II, the occupying Japanese Army built a complex of kilns in the area, the largest of which in the north became a landmark. The area was then called Dabeiyao (simplified Chinese: 大北窑; traditional Chinese: 大北窯; pinyin: Dàběiyáo), literally the "Great North Kiln".
Beijing is the capital of the People's Republic of China and one of the most populous cities in the world.
Its total population in 2013 was 21,150,000. The city proper is the 2nd most populous in the world. The metropolis, located in northern China, is governed as a direct-controlled municipality under the national government with 16 urban, suburban, and rural districts. Beijing Municipality is surrounded by Hebei Province with the exception of neighboring Tianjin Municipality to the southeast; together the three divisions form the Jingjinji metropolitan region and the national capital region of China.
Beijing is the second largest Chinese city by urban population after Shanghai and is the nation's political, cultural and educational center. It is home to the headquarters of most of China's largest state-owned companies, and is a major hub for the national highway, expressway, railway, and high-speed rail networks. The Beijing Capital International Airport is the second busiest in the world by passenger traffic.
Beijing Capital International Airport (IATA: PEK, ICAO: ZBAA) is the main international airport serving Beijing. It is located 32 km (20 mi) northeast of Beijing's city center, in an enclave of Chaoyang District and the surroundings of that enclave in suburban Shunyi District. The airport is owned and operated by the Beijing Capital International Airport Company Limited, a state-controlled company. The airport's IATA Airport code, PEK, is based on the city's former romanized name, Peking.
Beijing Capital International Airport is the main hub for Air China, the flag carrier of the People's Republic of China, which flies to around 120 destinations (excluding cargo) from Beijing. Hainan Airlines and China Southern Airlines also use the airport as their hub.
Beijing Capital added Terminal 3 in 2008 in time for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, the second largest airport terminal in the world after Dubai International Airport's Terminal 3, and the sixth largest building in the world by area. Beijing Capital International Airport covers 1,480 hectares (3,700 acres) of land.

http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com If it is a Saturday or Sunday and we are in Beijing, it is off to my favorite Panjiayuan Flea Market, locally called the "Dirt Market." Why "Dirt Market"? I have no idea. This fabulous market operates seven days a week but it is on weekends that locals come to sell whatever they have brought with outside the perimeter building. Saturday and Sunday are the days to visit this market that has approximately 3,000 registered stalls (that doesn't include people sitting on pavement) and up to 50,000 people on a busy day. This "not just-for-tourist" flea market is one of the World's best markets. Don't miss it! Tomorrow I will go to San Francisco
I bought the flight by accident last night
Later I´ll be dancing down in Rio
And Australia is on the other side
[Bridge]
I´m sick of this security I have with every step I ever
make
It´s like hell
Even if your words would fly like butterflies
I would not be afraid
´cause there´s nothing left to say
[Chorus]
Your commentary is not necessary
I made up my mind today
And noone can say
That it´s too far away
Coz I made up my mind today
and I´m sure
Many years have passed, they stole my longing
A trip around the world has been my dream
Behind the wall of silent hope, still waiting
That a princess in a golden cage is freed
[Bridge, Chorus]
I will taste the air on every continent
and maybe find a place to stay
I´ll think about your words when I see butterflies
and drink the best champagne
to your health
[1.strophe, Chorus(2x)]
