Chaldean History (The Great Chaldeans of Babylon) Mesopotamia
THE CHALDEANS
Isaiah 13:19
"
Babylon, the jewel of kingdoms, the glory and pride of the Chaldeans"
Jeremiah 32:28
This now is what the
LORD says: "I will hand over this city to the Chaldeans, for
Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, to take."
Jeremiah 52:8
"But the
Chaldean army pursued the king
and overtook Zedekiah in the desert near
Jericho, while his whole army fled from him."
Mesopotamia (Beth-Nahrein in
Chaldean language)
Homeland of the
Chaldean people, is undoubtedly, as all archaeological, historical and biblical sources unanimously agree, the foremost origin of human culture all together and the land of firsts.
This same land is the place that witnessed the birth of history when the
Sumerians hand in hand with the Proto-Euphratean people, the ancestors of Chaldeans
innovated pictographs writing in
Uruk in the mid of the fourth millennium
B.C. & the Chaldeans during the Babylonian period systematized the daily life (2000- 539 B.C.)
According to the linguistic heritage and biblical
prophecies of prophet Jeremiah
"Chaldean
.. were a powerful and deeply rooted nation/ethnicity" this statement is archeologically supported by means of the ancient name of the
Arabian/
Parisian gulf which was called Chaldean Sea (Tam Ti Sha Mat Kaldee) for more than a thousand years before the region of Babylonian
Chaldean Empire/11th Babylonian dynasty.
Another hard evidence is that the first ever known civilization, prior to the great flood, was (
Eridu) the twin city of (
Ur of the Chaldeans) founded by the Chaldeans' ancestors (Proto-Euphrateans) before the expatriation of northern Sumerians by almost
2000 years.
Bryant in his
Ancient Mythology (Vol.
III, p. 226) quotes from
Dionysus "The Chaldeans were the most ancient inhabitants of the country called by their name. They seemed to be the most early constituted and settled of any people on the earth. They seem to have been the only people who did not migrate at the general dispersion. Theyextended to
Egypt westward and eastward to the
Ganges. These were the
Accadians of
Chaldea, who looked to the southwest of the
Caspian for the cradle of their race."
The undeniable truth that the most ancient national/ethnical presence among all
Mesopotamians in
Sealand region was Chaldean. Nowadays we (
Native Mesopotamian) pride ourselves in those great ancestors and we ought to make the world aware of them to honour our Forefathers the illustrious kings like
Hammurabi,
Nabu-mukin-zeri, Marduk-apla-iddina,
Nabopolassar and his son,
Nebuchadnezzar II The
Great and all of the Chaldean
Nation's achievements.
We should even be more proud of the fact that (
God's love for humanity) originated and was passed out from Ur of the Kaldees (Chaldeans) by
Abraham (the Chaldean Patriarch of all prophets)
...
Genesis 15:7
"I am the
Lord who brought you from Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land as a possession"
Abraham's children and grandchildren were Chaldeans, like
Jacob (
Israel),
David the forefather of both
St. Joseph (Mar Yousib) and our mother
The Virgin Mary (
Maryam Btholta).
By virtue of this grand ancestry it evident that our
Lord Jesus Christ in His humanity, was a direct descendant of Abraham and David through The Virgin Mary and St. Joseph.
Genesis 11:28-31
Haran died before his father
Terah, in his native land, in Ur of the Chaldeans.Terah took his son
Abram, his grandson Lot, son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law
Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and brought them out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to go to the land of
Canaan. But when they reached Haran, they settled there.
