The term On the Record may refer to:
Donald John Trump, Sr. (born June 14, 1946) is an American business magnate, television personality and author. He is the chairman and president of The Trump Organization and the founder of Trump Entertainment Resorts. Trump's extravagant lifestyle, outspoken manner and role on the NBC reality show The Apprentice have made him a well-known celebrity who was No. 17 on the 2011 Forbes Celebrity 100 list. He is well-known as a real-estate developer who amassed vast hotel, casino, and other real-estate properties, in the New York City area and around the world.
Trump is the son of Fred Trump, a wealthy New York City real-estate developer. He worked for his father's firm, Elizabeth Trump & Son, while attending the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and in 1968 officially joined the company. He was given control of the company in 1971 and renamed it The Trump Organization.
In 2010, Trump expressed an interest in becoming a candidate for President of the United States in the 2012 election. In May 2011, he announced he would not be a candidate, but a few weeks later he said he had not completely ruled out the possibility. In December 2011, Trump was suggested as a possible Vice Presidential selection by Michele Bachmann. Bachmann has since suspended her presidential campaign.
Newton Leroy "Newt" Gingrich ( /ˈnjuːt ˈɡɪŋɡrɪtʃ/; born Newton Leroy McPherson; June 17, 1943) is an American politician, author, and political consultant. He represented Georgia's 6th congressional district as a Republican from 1979 until his resignation in 1999, and served as the 58th Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1995 to 1999. Gingrich was a candidate for the 2012 Republican Party presidential nomination.
In the 1970s, Gingrich taught history and geography at the University of West Georgia. During this period he ran twice (1974 and 1976) for the United States House of Representatives before winning in November 1978. He served as House Minority Whip from 1989 to 1995.
A co-author and architect of the "Contract with America", Gingrich was a major leader in the Republican victory in the 1994 congressional election. In 1995, Time named him "Man of the Year" for "his role in ending the four-decades-long Democratic majority in the House". While he was House speaker, the House enacted welfare reform, passed a capital gains tax cut in 1997, and in 1998 passed the first balanced budget since 1969. The poor showing by Republicans in the 1998 Congressional election and pressure from Republican colleagues caused Gingrich's resignation from the speakership on November 5, 1998, and then the House on January 3, 1999.
I intend to drive through the night
And wonder if I'm ever not on your mind.
I wrote a song for you so shout out every line.
Well, I think it's time for me to be all I've wanted to be now.
I think it's time for me to show how much I care.
We couldn't make this town our own (I'm keeping secrets)
So good luck with being on your own.
Watch what you say,
Desperation might just take you to your grave.
Let the record show you brought this on yourself.
I intend to walk through the night
And end up on the wrong side of the tracks to my train of thought.
Well, I think it's time for me to be all I've wanted to be now.
I think it's time for me to show how much I care.
We couldn't make this town our own (I'm keeping secrets)
So good luck with being on your own.
Watch what you say,
Desperation might just take you to your grave.
Let the record show you brought this on yourself
To prove how much I knew you knew better.
You went and you said her name.
To prove that we'll never be the same.
This love story's a bust, I choose my friends.
I'd rather be in love with them.
This love story's a bust I chose my friends.
Watch what you say,
Desperation might just take you to your grave.
Let the record show you brought this on yourself
To prove how much I knew you knew better.
You went and you said her name.
