My tribute to one of the wildest and craziest players of all time. After wearing out his welcome with 3 other teams, he joins the Oakland Radiers as his 4th team in 4 years. Injuries forced the Raiders to switch to a 3-4 defense and having the 6-8, 300lb Matuszak allowed for this switch in 1976. Starting DE in Superbowl XI and XV.
Far too many crazy stories to list them all. He played hard but partied harder. When he OD'd in KC, the Coach drove him to the hospital and pounded on his chest to revive him. He got in an altercation with Matt Millen on the team plane, fighting Terry Robiskie for no real reason, reporters loved him because he spoke the truth, massive drug and alcohol problems, DWI's, shooting guns at stop signs, picking up women two at a time in bars, you name it.
He reminds me a lot of Jim Morrison of the Doors. I think if Jim Morrison was a football player, he would be John Matuszak just based on their mannerisms and their ability to surround themeselves with people too afraid to say "no" to them or enable them to keep doing wrong.

A Collection *Added LIST!!* of all the Cyclone scenes from adaptations based on "the Wonderful Wizard of Oz" - from the silent films right up to "Tin Man" they are all here (except many MGM stage productions, the 1976 Australian "Rock 'n' Roll" version which had NO CYCLONE and the 1903 original Broadway Musical, and I couldn't really fit in the 1996 "Space Adventures/Wonderful Galaxy of Oz" anime).

I finally uploaded this follow-up video to "Dorothy of Kansas", well over a year in the making since February 27, 2009!
This video took so long to finish because I was waiting to get some things on DVD (mainly "the Dreamer of Oz"), making sure the shots were right as well as no extra frames were distracting. I had to make a lot of cuts so that this would all fit, some scenes I had that were originally long were cut short and others that were shortened down were extended again. A few times I even had to move the shot/frame up a bit so that there wouldn't be too much black on one side.
The HARDEST part was the 1987 Cinar/Pan-Media bit (at 6:20) where I wanted to cut out Dorothy's standing line "It's coming right for the house!" without the cyclone making an obvious jump. Those extra little shots are from a flashback in episode 18.
I never intended on using the shot of the farmhouse falling through the clouds, and originally I did end with the far-away shot of the Emerald City (also from "Dreamer") but I felt that was jumping too far ahead, so I changed it to this instead.

Tuz Khormato
Tuz Khormato or Tuz Khurmatu (Arabic: طوزخورماتو, Azerbaijani: Tuz-Xurmatu, Turkish: Tuzhurmatu) is the central city of Tooz District in Saladin Province, Iraq, located 55 miles south of Kirkuk. The town is multi-ethnic, with a majority of Shia Turkmen and minorities of Sunni Turkmen, Arabs, and Kurds.
Etymology
The name of the city is taken from Turkish, meaning salt (tuz) date (khurma).
History
The town participated in the 1991 Iraqi uprising before being suppressed by the Ba'athist Iraqi army.
Since the Invasion of Iraq, the city has experienced significant violence. It is contested between the Kurdistan Regional Government, the Baghdad government, and the Popular Mobilization Units, and has been frequently bombed by Al-Qaeda in Iraq and its successor the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.

My tribute to one of the wildest and craziest players of all time. After wearing out his welcome with 3 other teams, he joins the Oakland Radiers as his 4th team in 4 years. Injuries forced the Raiders to switch to a 3-4 defense and having the 6-8, 300lb Matuszak allowed for this switch in 1976. Starting DE in Superbowl XI and XV.
Far too many crazy stories to list them all. He played hard but partied harder. When he OD'd in KC, the Coach drove him to the hospital and pounded on his chest to revive him. He got in an altercation with Matt Millen on the team plane, fighting Terry Robiskie for no real reason, reporters loved him because he spoke the truth, massive drug and alcohol problems, DWI's, shooting guns at stop signs, picking up women two at a time in bars, you name it.
He reminds me a lot of Jim Morrison of the Doors. I think if Jim Morrison was a football player, he would be John Matuszak just based on their mannerisms and their ability to surround themeselves with people too afraid to say "no" to them or enable them to keep doing wrong.
For more great Matuszak moments check out Ken Stablers Autobiogrophy with a chapter dedicated to the 1979 season when he was roommates with the Tooz called "keeper of the tooz." Also, Matuszak's autobiogrophy "Crusin' with the Tooz."
Also, it wasn't easy to find footage so sorry for the quality of some of this but you can't win them all.

A Collection *Added LIST!!* of all the Cyclone scenes from adaptations based on "the Wonderful Wizard of Oz" - from the silent films right up to "Tin Man" they are all here (except many MGM stage productions, the 1976 Australian "Rock 'n' Roll" version which had NO CYCLONE and the 1903 original Broadway Musical, and I couldn't really fit in the 1996 "Space Adventures/Wonderful Galaxy of Oz" anime).

I finally uploaded this follow-up video to "Dorothy of Kansas", well over a year in the making since February 27, 2009!
This video took so long to finish because I was waiting to get some things on DVD (mainly "the Dreamer of Oz"), making sure the shots were right as well as no extra frames were distracting. I had to make a lot of cuts so that this would all fit, some scenes I had that were originally long were cut short and others that were shortened down were extended again. A few times I even had to move the shot/frame up a bit so that there wouldn't be too much black on one side.
The HARDEST part was the 1987 Cinar/Pan-Media bit (at 6:20) where I wanted to cut out Dorothy's standing line "It's coming right for the house!" without the cyclone making an obvious jump. Those extra little shots are from a flashback in episode 18.
I never intended on using the shot of the farmhouse falling through the clouds, and originally I did end with the far-away shot of the Emerald City (also from "Dreamer") but I felt that was jumping too far ahead, so I changed it to this instead.
