My first publicly shown video. This is my 3D model of the Mk28 Condor pinnace from David Weber's Honor Harrington book series. The model was based on 2D art by Thomas Marrone. Thomas and myself both "work" for a consulting group called BuNine (http://bunine.org/) that works closely with David Weber to flesh out the Honorverse.
BuNine wrote and produced art for The Honorverse Companion, a series of background and technical articles for the Honorverse that accompanied House of Steel, a novella recently published by David Weber.
I used Blender 2.68a to create the mesh, the renders, and the animation, and Windows Movie Maker to edit the video.
TBH, I'm really not that good with Blender, but I'm much better than I was years ago when I started using it. I still can't texture, though.
