April Rose Pengilly

April Rose Pengilly (born 12 April 1988; pronounced pen-gill-ee), also known as April Rose, is an Australian actress and former model. April is the daughter of Karen Hutchinson and INXS member Kirk Pengilly.

Early life

Pengilly attended Wenona, a girls school on the North Shore of Sydney. She dabbled in modelling as a child, sporadically returning to it in her latter years of high school, and after graduating in 2005 decided to pursue it full-time under the pseudonym of April Rose—avoiding the Pengilly surname to separate herself from her famous father.

Career

April Rose Pengilly is an actress (previously a model) and is currently represented by Australian management company Benchmark Creative.

She was previously represented by Chadwick Management from 2004 to 2012 and Warehouse 16/Morrissey Management from 2012 to 2014.

April Rose Pengilly began her career at the age of 16, as a model in her hometown of Sydney, Australia. After graduating from one of Australia’s top private schools, she started modelling full-time, building a name for herself by walking for leading designers at Australian Fashion Week, living and working in Tokyo, Osaka, London and New York, and fronting major campaigns. She has worked with top photographers Terry Richardson. Rankin, Steven Chee, Nick Scott, Nicole Bentley, Pierre Toussaint, James Demitri and Bradley Patrick. and Terry Richardson and featured on magazine covers and in editorials for InStyle (Australia), Elle (UK), The Times (UK), Harper’s Bazaar (Australia), Marie Claire, Oyster, Seventeen (US), and Glitter (Japan) and countless others. April was also selected for many elite roles, including ambassador for leading Australian department store David Jones, face of the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival (since renamed the Virgin Atlantic Melbourne Fashion Festival), face of the Nokia L’amour cell phone collection, ambassador for Sony, ambassador for Barbie and the “legs” of Japanese stocking label ATSUGI.

Fashion Model is a 1945 comedy mystery film directed by William Beaudine, starring Robert Lowery, Marjorie Weaver, and Tim Ryan, and written by Victor Hammond and Tim Ryan.

The film is considered to be the third in a series of Beaudine films featuring Marjorie Weaver as a female detective after Detective Kitty O'Day (1944) and Adventures of Kitty O'Day (1944).

Rose

A rose (/ˈroʊz/) is a woody perennial flowering plant of the genus Rosa, in the family Rosaceae. There are over 100 species and thousands of cultivars.
