Deal or No Deal

Deal or No Deal is the name of several closely related television game shows, the first of which (launching the format) was the Dutch Miljoenenjacht (Hunt for Millions) produced by Dutch producer Endemol. It is played with up to 26 cases (or, in some versions, boxes) containing certain sums of money. The player chooses a case or a box to knock an amount of money off the board.

Gameplay

The game revolves around the opening of a set of numbered briefcases, each of which contains a different prize (cash or otherwise). The contents (i.e., the values) of all of the cases are known at the start of the game, but the specific location of any prize is unknown. The contestant claims (or is assigned) a case to begin the game. The case's value is not revealed until the conclusion of the game.

The contestant then begins choosing cases that are to be removed from play. The amount inside each chosen case is immediately revealed; by process of elimination, the amount revealed cannot be inside the case the contestant initially claimed (or was assigned). Throughout the game, after a predetermined number of cases have been opened, the banker offers the contestant an amount of money and/or prizes to quit the game, the offer based roughly on the amounts remaining in play and the contestant's demeanor, the bank tries to 'buy' the contestant's case for a lower price than what's inside the case. The player then answers the titular question, choosing:

Deal or No Deal (Australian game show)

Deal or No Deal was an Australian game show that aired on the Seven Network between 2003 and 2015. It was the first international version of the game show, after the original Dutch version. It was the first of the versions to use the Deal or No Deal name. The show was recorded at the studio facilities of Global Television located in the Melbourne suburb of Southbank. The top prize of $200,000 was won by four contestants.

Many changes were made to Deal or No Deal during its run. These included, among others, changing from a weekly format to a daily format; interactive features inviting home viewers to play along with "Double Deal Friday"; and additional special features added to the game (such as "Double or Nothing" and "Super Case"). The show included many special episodes including several hour-long prime-time specials (such as the "Psychics Special" and the "Unluckiest Players Special") and the successful Dancing with the Deals which occurred in conjunction with Dancing with the Stars.

Deal or No Deal (Israel)

Deal or No Deal (Hebrew: דיל או לא דיל‎) is broadcast on the Israel 10 channel in Israel. It is hosted by Moran Atias, a model and actress. The top prize is 1.5 million ₪ (US$358,000).

In the Israeli version there is a round of trivia questions which are asked to ten audience members before a contestant is chosen. The ten audience members are divided into two groups of five. Each group is asked a question, and the first member of the group who answers the question correctly progresses to the second round. In the second round, both players are asked trivia questions. The first to get two questions right becomes the contestant. If a player gets two questions wrong, he or she is automatically disqualified, and the other player becomes the contestant.

Case Values
