With the going coast of the average Super Bowl commercial sitting at 5 MILLION dollars for a short 30 seconds, big movie studios along with power house brands are quite frankly the only ones who can afford the slots. First up we’re talking the brand new trailer for Jason Bourne, which was also the first mention in which the films title was actually released: The trailer’s debut was just after the first quarter of the Super Bowl and marks the return of both Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass to the series. In the trailer, we got a bulked-up Damon, lots of smashed cars, and even some quotes like "why would he come back now?" Jason Bourne will hit theaters July 29th. -Another highly anticipated film that dropped a trailer during Super Bowl 50 was none other than Deadpool The Super Bowl ad was a bit on the tame side compared to some of the other red-band trailers that have been released in recent months including nudity, curse words and in your face violence, but that doesn’t mean it’s boring, more so, it just speaks directly to the NFL and other major sports admiring them for their ability to have children all over the world. The film has been receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews, with critics applauding Ryan Reynolds’ hilariously great performance. You’ll get to see it all in just a dew days, come Feb 12th! -Captain America Civil War was another film that had trailer air during Super Bowl 50, take a look: The new Captain America spot is for sure the film's most intense ad thus far, seeing Tony Stark "blocking" a point-blank gun shot) with a chorus chanting "united we stand" and "divided we fall" throughout the 30-second spot. We also got a better glimpse of both "sides" of the fight (but still no sign of Spider-Man).You can see it come MAY 6th!! The new Independence Day: Resurgence film is another movie we can’t wait to see that dropped a new trailer during the game. The first trailer came back in December, but what could be more American than dropping the new trailer during American football. While the first trailer showcased how the film will continue after the original, this trailer showcased the new elements of the film, and it looked PRETTY EPIC being set 20 years after the original, which finds mankind not only recovering from the last alien attack, but using their technology for their own defenses. Catch it June 24 when the film hits theaters. ALSO, we can’t forget about X-men Apocalypse where we can’t help but miss Olivia Munn who’s fully rocking her psylocke costume and finally engaging with her swords. Apocalypse is back after resting for thousands of years, but now that he's awake he's ready to cleanse the Earth of the weak. -Finally we’re talking about the new trailer for 10 Clover field Lane. It’s seemingly one of 2016’s most mysterious movies, but the trailer did give us a few more hints as to what we can expect from the film. It really looks as though there is some kind of monster outside in the world, and many feel the movie will be connected to the 2008 monster movie hit, Clover field, but we’ll find out for sure come March 11th when it hits theaters. -Other trailers shown during the game included The Jungle Book, Gods of Egypt and Alice Through The Looking Glass.
