Hummie Mann
Hummie Mann (Born October 29, 1955 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada) is a two-time Emmy award-winning American film score composer. He is best known for his scores to the Mel Brooks films Robin Hood: Men in Tights and Dracula: Dead and Loving It. Mann was awarded an Emmy for arranging Billy Crystal's opening number for the 1992 Academy Awards and another Emmy in 1996 for an episode of Showtime's miniseries Picture Windows called "Language of the Heart". He was nominated for two more for arrangements on the series Moonlighting.
Biography
In addition to composing for television and film, Mann has orchestrated several film scores including Addams Family Values, Sister Act, and Georgia Rule.
In 1997, Mann established the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program in Seattle, Washington to instruct students in film scoring, music technology, songwriting for film, and video game audio. This program merged with the Seattle Film Institute in 2011 and became accredited to confer a Masters of Music degree in Film Composition. In 2010 Mann was cited as one of the top 10 Leaders in Learning by Variety magazine.

Robin Hood: Men in Tights
Robin Hood: Men in Tights is a 1993 French-American musical adventure comedy film and a parody of the Robin Hood story. Produced and directed by Mel Brooks, the film stars Cary Elwes, Richard Lewis, and Dave Chappelle in his film debut. The film includes frequent comedic references to previous Robin Hood films (particularly Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, upon which the plot is loosely structured, Disney's Robin Hood, and The Adventures of Robin Hood).
The film also features Brooks in a minor role; the first time he had appeared in one of his own films where he does not receive top billing or play the lead role since Young Frankenstein. In addition to Brooks it features cameos from Brooks regulars Dom DeLuise, Dick Van Patten and Rudy De Luca.
Plot
Robin Hood, or Robin of Loxley (Cary Elwes), is captured during the Crusades and is imprisoned at Khalil Prison in Jerusalem. With the help of fellow inmate Asneeze (Isaac Hayes), who is in for jaywalking, he escapes and frees the other inmates. Robin is asked by Asneeze to find his son, Ahchoo (Dave Chappelle, in his first major professional role). Upon returning to England, he finds Ahchoo and discovers that Prince John (Richard Lewis) has assumed control while King Richard is away fighting in the Crusades. Unbeknownst to Richard, the prince is abusing his power. Robin returns to his family home, Loxley Hall, only to find it has been repossessed by John's men. His family's blind servant, Blinkin (Mark Blankfield), informs Robin that his family members and pets have died as well. He vows to get his home back before all his family's things are taken.

20th century
The 20th century was a century that began on January 1, 1901 and ended on December 31, 2000. It was the tenth and final century of the 2nd millennium. It is distinct from the century known as the 1900s (sometimes written as 19XX), which began on January 1, 1900 and ended on December 31, 1999.
Dubbed the "short twentieth century", this century in human history was dominated by chain of events that heralded significant changes in world history as to redefine the era: World War I and World War II, nationalism and decolonization, the Cold War and Post-Cold War conflicts, cultural homogenization through developments in transportation and communications technology, world population growth, awareness of environmental degradation, ecological extinction and the birth of the Digital Revolution. It saw great advances in communication and medical technology that by the late 1980s allowed for near-instantaneous worldwide computer communication and genetic modification of life.

The century had the first global-scale total wars between world powers across continents and oceans in World War I and World War II. Nationalism became a major political issue in the world in the 20th century, acknowledged in international law along with the right of nations to self-determination, official decolonization in the mid-century, and nationalist-influenced armed regional-conflicts.

"All rights reserved" is a phrase that originated in copyright law as a formal requirement for copyright notice. It indicates that the copyright holder reserves, or holds for their own use, all the rights provided by copyright law under one specific copyright treaty.
Origins
The phrase appears to have originated as a result of the Buenos Aires Convention of 1910. Article 3 of the Convention granted copyright in all signatory countries to a work registered in any signatory country, as long as a statement "that indicates the reservation of the property right" (emphasis added) appeared in the work. The phrase "all rights reserved" was not specified in the text, but met this requirement.
Other international copyright treaties did not require this formality. For example, the Universal Copyright Convention (UCC), adopted in 1952, adopted the © symbol as an indicator of protection. (The symbol had been introduced in the US by a 1954 amendment to the Copyright Act of 1909.) The Berne Convention rejected formalities altogether in Article 4 of the 1908 revision, so authors seeking to protect their works in countries that had signed on to the Berne Convention were also not required to use the "all rights reserved" formulation. However, because not all Buenos Aires signatories were members of Berne or the UCC, and in particular the United States did not join UCC until 1955, a publisher in a Buenos Aires signatory seeking to protect a work in the greatest number of countries between 1910 and 1952 would have used both the phrase "all rights reserved" and the copyright symbol.

Robin Hood
Robin Hood is a heroic outlaw in English folklore who, according to legend, was a highly skilled archer and swordsman. Traditionally depicted as being dressed in Lincoln green, he is often portrayed as "robbing from the rich and giving to the poor" alongside his band of Merry Men. Robin Hood became a popular folk figure in the late-medieval period, and continues to be widely represented in literature, films and television.
Ballads and tales
The first clear reference to "rhymes of Robin Hood" is from c1377, the late-14th-century poem Piers Plowman, but the earliest surviving copies of the narrative ballads that tell his story date to the second half of 15th century (i.e. the 1400s), or the first decade of the 16th century (1500s). In these early accounts, Robin Hood's partisanship of the lower classes, his Marianism and associated special regard for women, his outstanding skill as an archer, his anti-clericalism, and his particular animosity towards the Sheriff of Nottingham are already clear.Little John, Much the Miller's Son and Will Scarlet (as Will "Scarlok" or "Scathelocke") all appear, although not yet Maid Marian or Friar Tuck. It is not certain what should be made of these latter two absences as it is known that Friar Tuck, for one, has been part of the legend since at least the later 15th century where he is mentioned in a Robin Hood play script.

Winner of the 2006 Best of State Award for Original Music Composition, the Jury Choice Gold Medal for Excellence in the 2004 Park City Film Music Festival and Semi-Finalist in the 2004 Moondance International Film Festival filmscoring competition, Jeffrey Gold's works have premiered at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Centres in Cardiff, Wales and in Piccadilly, London, on television in the U.K., on PBS television, on radio and at international film festivals. Educated at Cambridge University, he is a lifetime member of the Cambridge Film and Television Society. In the United States, he has been a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) since 1999. In 2005 he was invited to participate in the 19th Annual Sundance Institute Independent Producers Conference and the 3rd Annual Sundance Institute Theatre Program/Johnny Mercer Foundation Master Class with composers and performers Melissa Manchester, Jimmy Webb, Michael Rupert, Margaret Whiting, and Charles Strouse. He has had masterclasses with film composer/orchestrator/arranger Conrad Pope (Star Wars episodes I-III, Munich, Memoirs of a Geisha), two-time Emmy award winning film composer/arranger Hummie Mann (Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Year of the Comet), award-winning film composer Douglas Romayne (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), award-winning film composer & Sundance Institute alumnus Vincent Gillioz, and award-winning film composer and guitar virtuoso Vince Lauria. He is currently working on the score for the feature film, Nowhere Fast: The Forgotten Story of Approach Control.

The Prince of Tides is a 1991 American romantic drama film based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Pat Conroy; the film stars Barbra Streisand and Nick Nolte. It tells the story of the narrator's struggle to overcome the psychological damage inflicted by his dysfunctional childhood in South Carolina. Streisand directed and produced the film in addition to starring in it. Conroy and Becky Johnston adapted the screenplay.
The film was nominated for seven Academy Awards including Best Picture, but lost the award to The Silence of the Lambs.
Streisand initially hired English composer John Barry to write a score for the film, but Barry eventually left due to creative differences. In a 7 March 1996 Cinemusic conference interview, Barry explained his exodus from the film, stating, "I was asked by Barbra Streisand to do The Prince of Tides – I live in New York, she lives in Los Angeles – and I went and met with her, and she showed me some footage, and she said, 'Why aren't you moving to Los Angeles?' and I said, 'Absolutely not.' And she said, 'Well, I like to know what's going on' – Barbra's an extreme case, by the way – and I said, 'Even if I did move to Los Angeles, I have no desire to meet with you once I know what I'm going to do. I can't work with someone over my shoulder, absolutely no way.'"Barry later retitled his theme for The Prince of Tides "Moviola" and it was released on his 1992 movie theme album of the same name.The theme also appeared in Barry's 1995 score for the 3D IMAX film Across the Sea of Time, retitled "Flight Over New York".
The final film score was composed by James Newton Howard and released 12 November 1991. It was well received by critics and garnered Howard his first Academy Award nomination for Best Original Score, though it lost to Alan Menken's music for Beauty and the Beast.

Finally, after over 3 months of hard work, editing, etc, my very first audio drama/reading is finally complete. This was a collaboration that I worked on with Liz, right after the release of her rewrite of the Season 20 episode, "Ryan and Daisy," this was a real effort working with her on the project, I couldn't have done this without her. Sigfrido è il titolo di un dramma del 1928 di Jean Giraudoux (Bellac, 29 ottobre 1882 – Parigi, 31 gennaio 1944), scrittore e commediografo francese. Giraudoux con Paul Claudel è considerato il più significativo drammaturgo francese del periodo tra le due guerre. Il soggetto fu tratto dal suo precedente romanzo simbolico pubblicato nel 1922 Siegfried et le Limousin (nella traduzione italiana Il romanzo di Siegfried), famoso per il sottinteso appello a un'intesa tra Francia e Germania dopo la prima guerra mondiale. Lo scrittore limosino Giacomo Forestier, ufficiale al fronte franco-tedesco nell'ultima guerra, fu ritenuto disperso dopo un combattimento furibondo. Ferito gravemente, era stato invece raccolto dai tedeschi e ricoverato in un ospedale dell'interno. Qui Forestier, che aveva perduto ogni memoria di sé, fu affidato alle cure di una infermiera intelligente e ardita, la quale riuscì a creare, sulla carne smemorata dell'ex scrittore francese, un uomo nuovo, uno schietto tedesco per cultura, sensibilità e gusti, ch'ella da buona valchiria, battezzò col nome di Siegfried, Siegfried von Kleist. Così rinato, ecco il francesissimo artista di un tempo scrivere di politica germanica sulla Frankfurter Zeitung, eccolo maestro di diritto costituzionale tedesco e consigliere per i legislatori di Weimer. Giraudoux, che legge la «Gazzetta di Francoforte» ed era amico fraterno di Forestier scopre negli articoli siglati S.V.K., non solo lo stile, ma gli argomenti e persino intere pagine che sembrano tolte di peso dai libri del povero scrittore disperso.... Nel rifacimento per il teatro il problema è rimasto tale e quale, la materia l'identica, né mutano le conseguenze politiche anche se le tinte appaiono accentuate e se in luogo di Giraudoux troviamo Geneviéve. Ciò che là sullo smemorato Forestier ha fatto l'autore, qui fa la donna. Il teatro voleva dei contrasti violenti, una sottana, un delicato viso, una storia d'amore, e lo scrittore l'ha accontentato. Il suo intreccio non è, in fondo, che un pretesto in quanto serve all'autore per creare una serie di dialoghi poetici e umani sullo spirito delle razze, sulla filosofia della storia e della letteratura, sul clima geografico e pittoresco del mondo. Il dramma è un dramma della personalità".... Venne trasmesso dalla RAI l'8 maggio 1959 sul Programma Nazionale con la regia di Guglielmo Morandi.

L'azione si svolge a Gotha nel 1921. Sigfrido è diventato l'eroe tedesco, il solo che possa unificare le contrastanti tendenze rivoluzionarie. Consigliere di Stato, sta per dare alla Germania una nuova costituzione, e il popolo è con lui. Il partito contrario, romantico e tradizionalista capeggiato da Zelten, vorrebbe disfarsene, anche perché quest'ultimo ha scoperto la vera natura dell'avversario. Costui aveva nel passato un'amante, la scultrice Geneviève, tuttavia ottima amica di Zelten, la quale, fatta venire in gran segreto a Gotha, riconosce in Sigfrido il suo Giacomo che credeva perduto.

An all new feature length film starring Thomas and all his railway friends! For as long as anyone can remember, the Island of Sodor, land of talking trains, has been a realm of drugs and Edward Clubs. But now Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends on the tragic failroad are being threatened by diesel engines like the surly Arabic Diesel 10 and his sidekicks Splatter and Dodge. Even the stoner Mr. Conductor (Various Voices), who has always traveled between the train world and the human world of Shining Time Station, is losing his blackness and drug rights. In the middle of this crisis, Lily (Jacob Jira), a resourceful 12-year-old, meets up with Mr. Conductor on the way to visit her lonely grandfather Burnett Stone (Various Voices). They embark on an adventure with Thomas the Tank Engine to preserve the wonderful cocaine that many of the characters depend on.

Finally, after over 3 months of hard work, editing, etc, my very first audio drama/reading is finally complete. This was a collaboration that I worked on with Liz, right after the release of her rewrite of the Season 20 episode, "Ryan and Daisy," this was a real effort working with her on the project, I couldn't have done this without her. Even though this was my idea to begin with, she the one who deserves some of the credit, and this was also suppose to be uploaded on Valentines Day, but I had a few lines missing and it had to take another few days, so even though this wasn't uploaded on Valentines Day, it's still apart of the Month of Love, anyways I hope you enjoy this as much as I liked making this, and to the actor, I just want to say, thanks for the help.

Rosemary Storm was inspired to write Don't Look Back -- Motion Of The Man for Rick Hansen and Spinal Cord Research, partially due to her own father's paralysis. Also her best friend is paralyzed from the neck down. Rosemary's intention with her song DON'T LOOK BACK -- MOTION OF THE MAN is to help increase awareness and raise funds for spinal cord research.
Storm appeared on BCTV NEWS with Jim Hart in 1987 when Rick was returning from his Man In Motion Tour. BCTV put visuals of Rick on his Journey behind her song during this news piece.
Rosemary recorded the song in L.A. where her friend and two-time Emmy Award Winner HUMMIE MANN co-arranged and co-produced the song with her, having hired some of the best studio musicians in L.A. She was honored when the famous living legend HENRY LEWY sat in on her session and he and Rosemary became friends. Lewy's claim to fame is in having engineered all of Neil Young and Joni Mitchell's earliest albums.
As soon as Rosemary returned from L.A. she was introduced by WILLIAM SHATNER to perform her song for Rick at Canada Place (Pan Pacific). It was for the LIFT FOR LIFE function produced by Mike Hamill. With every celebrity in the city pumping weights for Rick's Cause. in front of the stage, Rosemary was the only performer at the Event with her band. Rick's live image was on a huge screen behind the stage as her performance being broadcast live via satellite on the TSN Network to Rick in Halifax on the last leg of Hansen's journey.
Her success came not only from making BCTV NEWS and having William Shatner introduce her, she also made newspaper headlines in the News section of The Vancouver Sun on the day of her ten year highschool reunion - the best write-up Rosemary had ever received from the most powerful and respected columnist and Sun Chief Editor, Denny Boyd.
