The two jock guys are sports buds. The one with the tall hair dates the girl, though she doesn't like him. The nerdy guy is just there because that's how the teacher assigned them. Their van breaks down so they head to a nearby house to see if they can get help. They are greeted by a creepy girl with long black hair and a jack-in-the-box, who lets them in. But, upon entering, they end up getting locked inside. As they explore, the guys get separated from the girl, but they don't notice right away. They wander around until they find the bathroom where the tall-haired jock decides to tell an urban legend about the Bologna-Man. However, in doing so, he summons the Bologna Man. Black guy dies first and the girl is still missing. The other jock says screw it and abandons those left. He tries to leave through the roof but the Bologna Man sneaks up on him and shoves him off and is assumed dead. While the nerdy guy is searching for the girl, he is ambushed by the Bologna-Man but the girl discovers him before the Bologna Man finishes the job. The two recover, but they hear their van start up and run to the window. It turns out the one jock survived the fall and tries to escape with the van. The Bologna-Man throws his knife as the jock tries to drive away, slashing the tires and causing the jock and the van to shoot over a cliff to his doom below. The nerdy guy and girl realize they have to fight back. They arm themselves, but Bologna Man has a trick up his sleeve. He summons the two jocks back as zombies. Despite that they were both jerks and the one was an abusive boyfriend, the two can't get the courage to kill their undead friends. They decide to trick the zombies into locking them in a closet. That's when the Bologna-Man reveals himself. There is a large battle where the nerdy guy is badly injured and the girl takes her final shot. It strikes Bologna-Man knocking him into the closet where the door breaks open the two zombies start to devour him. The girl runs to the nerdy guy who is unresponsive. She cries and shakes him until finally he slowly opens his eyes. "He's gone." she says. "Thank you for saving us," he says back. She kisses him and hoists him up to leave. "Wait" he says, and turns to the mindless zombies of their ex-friends and dead Bologna-Man. "I have two shots left," he says. She simply nods. The nerdy guy lifts his gun towards the two zombies and fires twice, striking and killing both in the head. The two limp out of the house and down the wet street as the sun begins to rise, hoping to never return to that house again. Credits roll. Finally, there is a quick scene of scary music over top of a shot zooming in on an open pack of bologna. A clammy white had grabs a slice. It's the creepy girl that answered the door. She begins to wind her jack-in-the-box towards the slice of bologna and summons Bologna-Man once again.
