Meeting to update Tremont City Barrel Fill cleanup developments

The barrel fill is an 8.5-acre section of a closed landfill for industrial waste barrels that contain an estimated 1.5 million gallons of hazardous waste buried underground. People for Safe Water, a local clean water advocacy group, will be raising money to promote its effort on cleaning up the barrel fill ... EPA for years on the best way to clean up the site....
