Rachael Price (born August 30, 1985) is a jazz vocalist from Hendersonville, Tennessee best known as lead vocalist of the band Lake Street Dive. She is a graduate in Jazz Studies from the New England Conservatory of Music in Massachusetts. Price is the great-granddaughter of creationist and Seventh-day Adventist leader George McCready Price, and the daughter of musician Tom Price.
In 2003, Price received an honorable mention at the Montreux Jazz Festival's International Jazz Vocal Competition. In 2004, Price was a semi-finalist and the youngest competitor in the history of the Thelonious Monk Institute Vocal Competition. In August 2004 she made her U.S. jazz festival debut at Yale’s Jazz On The Green, where she opened for Joshua Redman. She won the 2006 Independent Music Award for Best Gospel Song with her recording of My God, My Adored One with the Boston Praise Collective. She regularly appeared in concert as a featured vocalist with the T. S. Monk Sextet and worked with Grammy Award winning record producer K. C. Porter.
Lake Street Dive is an indie pop band that was founded in 2004 in Boston, Massachusetts. The band consists of Rachael Price (lead vocals), Mike "McDuck" Olson (trumpet, guitar), Bridget Kearney (upright bass), and Mike Calabrese (drums). They met while attending the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. The band was named after a street with many dive bars in Olson's hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The band tours in both North America and Europe from their base in Brooklyn.
The initial idea (2004) was for the band to create a 'free country band' — as in country music, played free. This concept was abandoned in favor of something that 'actually sounded good'.
The band recorded a song written by Bridget Kearney which was submitted to the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. As a result, Kearney won the Jazz category in 2005. With the cash and 1000 CDs award, Lake Street Dive recorded their debut CD in 2006, in this episode.... They did another self release called Promises, Promises and a video filmed live at the Lizard Lounge in 2010.
Brooklyn Bowl is a music venue, bowling alley and restaurant in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. It is known for its high-tech green construction and variety of musical acts. In 2013 Rolling Stone named Brooklyn Bowl the 20th best music club in America.
Originally an ironworks-foundry building in the 1880s, Brooklyn Bowl was opened by Peter Shapiro on July 7, 2009. It took over two years to construct and cost millions. Upon opening, it became the first bowling alley in the country, and possibly the world, to be LEED certified, with its pinspotter machines using 75% less energy than typical pinspotters.
The concert stage floor was built using recycled truck tires, and is lit entirely by LEDs. Much of the rest of the establishment was constructed using recycled materials, including glass reclaimed from the Brooklyn Navy Yard and custody-controlled wooden floor boards reclaimed from the original ironworks building in which it now stands.
In 2010 former President Bill Clinton held a benefit at Brooklyn Bowl for the Clinton Foundation Millennium Network.

Rachael Price blew the house down with this song as the "Muscle Shoals" band back her at one of the Americana Music Association Showcases in Nashville, Tenn.
