(I'm not ready for the)
Nine to five
Wasted dreams and wasted lives
No justice no empathy
No thrill slow kill drains like a leech
Backs are gonna break for a halfass wage
While the suits get laid and overpaid
Will you count the days gone by as time well spent?
A dagger through the heart to keep your collar clean and pay the rent
Drink up, friends, the night is young
And the morning's rarely any fun
There's a gut to fill and a head to kill
Whored out to pay the cable bill
Will you count the days gone by as time well spent?
A dagger through the heart to keep your collar clean and pay the fucking rent
(I'm not ready for the)
nine to five
Wasted dreams and wasted lives
Just another spot of blood on my collar
Just another nail in your coffin lid
Just another gob in the face of what might have been
How short did we sell ourselves
How high your asking price?
Now you'll go for free
Another mouth to feed another heart to bleed
No room no dime no hour to spare
No fuel left to fucking care
Will you count the days gone by as time well spent?
A dagger through the heart to pay your rent
A bullet to the brain for credit spent
Parasite economy
Bleeding you and bleeding me
