I do stationary and illustrations, and I specialize in custom wedding invitations and special event invitations. My website is thenicstudio.com and I'll be talking to you today about wedding invitations. I'm here to talk to you today about RSVP cards for wedding invitations. First things first. Remember the basics. You need a date on it, and then you need an area for the response. Some people use just regular old RSVP. Other people use different phrasing. For example, French invitation from my line. You can see that the response card says, Respondez Sil Vous Plait, instead of RSVP. So, it sort of goes in keeping with the theme of the invitation and it's a little bit more interesting, doesn't just look like every other RSVP out there. This is actually my wedding invitation. The RSVP card, it says, will you celebrate with us, instead of RSVP by. So, it's a little bit more fun, has a little bit more life to it. For this one, also from my line, the RSVP card is, you know, notes on music sheets. And, over here it says, will sing a song of love, or singing a swan song. If you're not inviting people with guests, and you're concerned that they're going to add guests, or invite their whole family and their children, you might want to have something on your response card that says, blank seats have been reserved in your honor. You would fill in the seats before you send out the response card. Make sure you do it before. So, have a good time with it, remember to cover all your basics and, just as a little aside, you may want to put a penciled number on the back of each of your response cards. That way, if somebody forgets to actually write their name on the response card, and it happens all the time, you know which one of your guests corresponds with the number that you put on the back of that card.
