Midian (Hebrew: מִדְיָן), Madyan (Arabic: مدين), or Madiam (Greek: Μαδιάμ, Μαδιανίτης for a Midianite) is a geographical place and a people mentioned in the Bible and in the Qur'an. William G. Dever suggests it was located in the "northwest Arabian Peninsula, on the east shore of the Gulf of Aqaba on the Red Sea (the "Hejaz") " Some scholars believe it to be somewhere in or around Sudan as the Bible does not make direct mention of its location.
Some scholars say it was not a geographical area but a league of tribes. We are also told that Midian was a son of Abraham.
The modern Hebrew pronunciation, "Midyan", is the result of a normal vowel shift changing an "a" sound to an "i" sound (compare Miryam in Hebrew versus Mariam in Greek or Maryam in Arabic).
The Midianites were the descendants of Midian, who was a son of Abraham through his wife Keturah. This can be seen in the following Biblical passages. Genesis 25:1-2 1Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah. 2And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. (King James Version)

Plot: The Franklin Abraham is a building 2 kilometers wide, 3 kilometers long and in places 175 stories tall. It reputedly once inhabited a population of over 2 million people. The edifice began as a residential tower designed in the once fashionable Rococo-Moderne style. In the 200 years since its inception it has expanded into an amalgamated superstructure that encompasses all aspects of civic life: residential, retail, manufacturing, education, government and entertainment. Jonah FreemanÕs film is a circuitous journey through this vast, labyrinthine structure. The camera assumes the position of a voyeuristic, roaming eye that passes through the lives and spaces of an interiorized society. Particles of stories or characters are explored briefly and then left behind: a despondent teenage girl and her older newspaper-stealing boyfriend; a timid office worker on a date with a sinister-looking romeo; bored, subterranean youth gangs; the tribulations of the family and mega-corporation that own the building; a moisturizer-huffing bartender and her angry patrons. The segments focus on details of everyday life while simultaneously implying the gargantuan scale of the building.

Unfortunately the gang on this limited, besides the whole edition of the album immediately after its release, immediately settled in the collections of true music fans to this day it seemed almost nothing can revive the memory of this worthy band. Fix this very glaring injustice in 2000 took firm Red Stream, re-released "Midian" in gift format "digipack". Phenomenal - this powerful and professional stuff was almost forgotten. Definitely, such a bright pearl as "CABAL", deserves to himself a lot more attention from the fans of the old school.

It is a lovely coinciding of our inner and outer worlds that we begin a new book of the Torah just as the new secular year begins ... Although early in his story he does indeed resort to both fight (by lashing out to kill the Egyptian he sees beating one of his kinfolk) and flight (by running away to Midian when he fears he will be punished for this rash action), he comes into his glory as a leader in a different way ... ....
