Hong Kong Travel Video including some of the top things to do in Hong Kong along with the best attractions in Hong Kong, China.
Hong Kong is one of the most dynamic cities in all of Asia. From a travel perspective it offers numerous diverse options worth exploring.
Whether one is exploring Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, Victoria Harbor or the New Territories, there are plenty of attractions to cover.
The following is a list of the top things to do in Hong Kong:
1) Avenue of Stars at Night in Kowloon (星光大道)
Wandering around Avenue of Stars at night is the perfect way to experience Hong Kong in the evening. Overlooking Victoria Harbour, this area has been modeled after the Hollywood Walk of Fame championing all of the celebrities involved in the Hong Kong entertainment industry. None is more famous than the Bruce Lee statue. This is also the perfect place to watch A Symphony of Lights laser show which happens daily at 8 pm.
2) Afternoon High Tea at the Peninsula
Sitting down for afternoon tea at the Peninsula is one of the more posh activities in Hong Kong. Expect to wait in line (we waited over 2 hours) for a table. You can get complete sets which include assorted finger food along with a drink. This is definitely not a budget activity.
3) Views of Hong Kong from Victoria Peak and Tram Ride (太平山)
Taking a tram ride up to Victoria Peak to experience the best vantage point of Hong Kong, Kowloon and Victoria Harbor is one of the top attractions in the city. Many come at night; however, we recommend coming in the afternoon on a weekday when you can enjoy having more personal space.
4) Star Ferry boat ride (天星小輪)
There are many different modes of transportation in Hong Kong; however, none are quite as authentic of an experience as taking Star Ferry from Hong Kong Island to Kowloon or vice versa. It's one of the cheapest ways to get around.
5) Junk Boat Ride
Taking a Junk boat ride around Victoria harbor offers some of the best views of the city. It's especially popular at night to take in A Symphony of Lights performance.
6) Hong Kong Park and Tea Appreciation Ceremony (香港公園)
To get away from all of the hustle and bustle check out Hong Kong Park for a tranquil escape. If you have time participate in a Chinese tea appreciation ceremony.
7) Sampan Boat Tour in Aberdeen (舢舨)
Taking a ride on a traditional Sampan boat allows you to experience what life is like for Chinese fishermen.
8) Eating Dim Sum (點心 - 点心)
One should not leave Hong Kong without first trying dim sum. These small sized bites are treats that are accompanied by a pot of Chinese tea.
9) Taking a night bus tour of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon
Taking a night bus tour allows you to visit distinct areas in both Hong Kong Island and Kowloon such as Mong Kok and Causeway Bay.

wn.com/Things To Do In Hong Kong China | Top Attractions Travel Guide

Get familiar with public transportation of Hong Kong for your trip.
There are close to 7 million people in this city. Hong Kong is one of the most densely populated cities in the world. If you own a car or are riding a taxi, you will run into traffic jams like in any large city. However, Hong Kong has various transportation options such as trams, buses, mini-buses, ferries and trains which make it really easy to get around. In fact, Hong Kong has one of the most efficient transportation systems in the world with 80% of its residents using it.
Let's see what it is like to ride on the local train here called the MTR. When using the MTR, you can buy a single journey ticket or a one day pass. Although there are many ticket attendants at all the stations, using the automatic ticket machine is really easy. Here we are at Sheung Wan MTR station and need to go to the Mong Kok station. On this machine, I simply select my destination, it tells me the price, 11 dollars, I put in the money here and I have my ticket. If I do not have change, there is another ticketing option here. This is one of the greatest conveniences of Hong Kong for a local or a tourist, and that is the Octopus card. It is an electronically stored money card which is accepted on trains, trams, buses, ferries and even convenience stores such as 7-Eleven and Circle K. You can buy them at any MTR station or you can also buy them at convenience stores such as 7-Eleven and Circle K.
If you have a ticket, you enter it here, but since I have my Octopus card, you simply swipe it. To find out the platform, I have to know which line I am taking, as the platform will be marked by the last stop on that line. In this case, Chai Wan. Looking at the map, the last stop on the blue line is Chai Wan. Inside the train, we can always tell how far a stop is. That was our quick and painless journey in Hong Kong's MTR system. This is Rosanna Wilcox, showing you Hong Kong.

A blending of East meets West, Hong Kong is considered the Crossroads of the World. It is also a very popular shopping destination for bargains to designer labels. There are so many places to shop on Hong Kong Island and Kowloon that you can't visit them all during a single visit, but here's a sampling of some of the most popular Hong Kong shopping areas.
Shopping malls offer everything from designer stores to boutiques and small shops. It seems everywhere you go in Hong Kong, you are never far away from a shopping mall. Even Victoria Peak has the Peak Galleria mall, where we ended up buying some souvenirs while enjoying the great views of Hong Kong. If you venture over to Lantau Island, you will find the Citygate Outlet Mall near Hong Kong's Disneyland. If you are heading up to see the Big Buddha at Ngong Ping village, you will also find plenty of shops, but not as many bargains.
Popular large scale shopping malls on Hong Kong Island include the IFC mall at Central where you will find Armani and other designer brands and the Western Market ,which is the oldest market building on Hong Kong Island in the Sheung Wan area. There are 230 shops at Times Square Mall in Causeway Bay where fashion seekers will find everything from Lane Crawford and Marks and Spencer to Gucci, Coach, Koyo, Hilfinger, Versace Jeans, Louis Vuitton and Tiffany. To fuel your shopping trip, there is also a Starbucks and plenty of food including fine dining and a food court.
On Kingston Street you will find the SOGO department store as well as the trendy Fashion Walk shops.
Just around the corner is Jardine's' Crescent market and Jardine's Bazaar.
One of the most famous markets on Hong Kong Island is the Stanley Market, which is really touristy but you can find Chinese style souvenirs and gift items before rolling up your haggling sleeves and still get some deals. You will find many exciting outdoor markets on the Kowloon side.
Getting to the various markets and malls is easy with the MTR. It helps to have a map, but you can pick one up free at the airport when you arrive in Hong Kong.
Shopping the markets in Kowloon is a fun experience. The Mong Kok area has a lot of markets and shops to check out if you want souvenirs, chopsticks or even imitation brands.
The Ladies Market is between Boundary Street and Dundas Street in Kowloon, located on Tung Choi Street near the Mong Kok MTR station. This is a popular tourist destination for t-shirts, clothing, watches, shoes, food, copy bag knockoffs, knick knacks, Iphone cases, and just about anything that can be displayed or hung up at an outdoor market stall including the lucky cats.
Other shopping areas in Kowloon include the Tsim Sha Tsui area with both shopping malls and markets. The area along Nathan Road and Canton Road has tons of shops. We visited Harbour City, the largest shopping centre mall in Hong Kong located on Canton Road at Tsim Sha Tsui. It was all decorated for the holidays and they sometimes feature fashion shows, kid shows or other events.
To get the best deals at the markets, you have to sharpen your bargaining skills. It helps to know your prices ahead of time, or else start out really low until you get a feel for where things are selling. Bargaining is a skill that will save you money and is also looked upon as a form of noble jousting among shopkeepers.
Soon you will have a calculator shoved in front of you with a pie in the sky number on it for the item you are looking at. Many times you will get that item for less than half price depending on where and with who you are sparring. You can always walk away and go to the next stall until you find the right deal because many of the exact same items are available in many different market stalls.
At night a popular and lively marketplace is the Temple Street Night market, a busy flea market in the Jordan area of Kowloon that is open until midnight. Find cheap souvenirs, interesting food and enjoy the lively atmosphere, popular among locals and tourists.
It is almost impossible to come to Hong Kong and not shop, so be sure to leave extra room when you are packing your suitcase -- or you might end up buying one of those as well.

Macau, considered by many to be the Las Vegas of the Far East, is only a short ferry ride away from Hong Kong, China. When we decided to visit we thought we'd spend most of our time checking out casino; however, what we discovered was a city with a unique colonial history (Portuguese) and some of the best street food in all of Asia. In terms of attractions, most people who come to visit Macau may only come for the gambling. That's a shame. Attractions such as Senado Square and the ruins of Saint Paul Cathedral await those who explore its old city quarters. With architecture that seems as though it belongs more in Portugal or Brazil you'll find this city is east meets west in many regards. For those with adventurous taste buds regional culinary delights such as Macau egg tarts, pork chop buns and almond cookie are on plentiful display. We simply couldn't stop eating Macanese street delights during our brief stay in Macao. The following is a top attractions travel guide offering a snapshot of the best things to do in Macau in terms of cuisine and travel:

Hong Kong is one of the most exciting cities in the world. What makes this city so vibrant and energetic? It is nearly seven million residents. The city has a unique blend of Western and Chinese culture, which seem to co-exist very well and help make this city so fascinating.
The most important places to visit in Hong Kong are: The Big Buddha and Po Lin Monastery (this statue is one of the five largest statues of Chin), The Victoria Peak (this is something like a top view or a view point from where you can see the entire city of Hong Kong), Avenue of Stars (a place of tribute to the film stars, both past and present Hong Kong cinemas) and many more.
This video offers a lot of tips to help you plan the perfect vacation. If you want to save time and money, the most important Hong Kong travel tip is to compare prices before booking a hotel room or a flight. You can do this for free on http://bookinghunter.com, a site that searches through hundreds of other travel websites in real time for the best travel deals available.
