Today House_Owner plays Minecraft Build Battle with ThatGuyBarney and Mithzan. Their first theme is treasure, and Ross tries to build something halfway decent while Barney discusses the best treasure in the world – dirt. Max and Barney argue over the physics of curving bullets. Max tells him that they disproved the possibility on Mythbusters, but Ross chooses to overlook that fact. Ross’ interpretation of treasure is a moat surrounding an x marks the spot, where a pirate is on standby. Max’s treasure turns out to be an enormous replica of Ross’ Minecraft face sticking out of a treasure chest (he gets my vote). Barney’s plot is a block of dirt with a sign on top that reads “treasure”. On another player’s plot there’s a big treasure chest with jewels inside, but Ross hops in and discovers it’s a hollow box of lies. Another player’s chest features the heads of Barney, Ross, and Max – their friendship is the real treasure. Somehow, somehow, Barney wins the round with his single block of dirt. The next theme is swimming pool, and Barney is under the impression that swimming is when you’re hanging out in a tree and…something about waist boards, butterflies, and cocoons; it was all very confusing. Barney goes real deep when he sagely advises Max that he has to look inside to see what’s outside. Ross has built a charming deck and pool, featuring a rustic wooden design and complete with villagers swimming. Max and Ross discuss Barney’s delusions about apple and his unfounded belief that he’s a YouTuber, and Barney laughs maniacally at something the rest of us can only wonder about. The other players have constructed some pretty cool pools, with fountains and diving boards and water polo. Barney’s pool is big enough to fit the earth’s population, topped off with a diving board, but it’s Max’s pool that really takes the cake – a modest little pool with a diving board, and at the bottom is Ross’ face. Ross gets second place and tries to call his mom to tell her the news, but he has too many moms for Siri to pick from. The next theme is apple, and Barney mourns the fact that Apple is out sick. Ross builds a banana and orange, and Barney chastises him – you can’t build a banana and mango, you have to build an apple. Ross adds an apple with his face on it and makes fun of Barney for having a front-butt. Ross wonders why there aren’t any blue fruits, but realizes with quiet humiliation that blueberries are a thing. It turns out that almost no one built an apple; mostly people built creepers and turtles. Barney built an enormous apple with legs and a festive hat, and Max’s plot is a 2D portrait of Ross holding a living apple. Max gets third place, and that wraps up this Minecraft Build Battle video!
