Major Jaidev Rajvansh (Anil Kapoor) is a brave and successful Army officer. Anjali (Madhuri Dixit) Jai's childhood friend, is madly in love with him but Jai loves Pooja Mallapa (Namrata Shirodkar). A heartbroken and jealous Anjali swears revenge on Jai for rejecting her. A series of events leads to Anjali's unintentional association with Mastermind Terrorist Abhrush (Danny Denzongpa) and certain corrupt ministers who plan to destroy the town hall on Independance Day. Many thanks to Muz for supplying the VHS tape from which this was taken. It's from a recording of a British Channel 4 broadcast of the film many years ago and is hard-subbed for the Hindi-language impaired.
Set at the court of the harsh Mughhal Emperor Jehangir (Chandramohan), the film tells two separate love stories: the first of Mangal Singh (Ali) and Kanwar (Sheela) amid the violent feud raging between their families, and the second, the famous one of Jehangir and Nurjehan (Banu). Mangal kills the brother and father of his lover. His father, the loyal Rajput chieftain Sangram Singh (Modi), captures his son and Jehangir passes the death sentence. Jehangir's claim that the law knows no class distinction is put on the test when a washerwoman (Akhtar) accuses Queen Nurjehan of having inadvertently killed her husband during a hunt.

Pukar is a 1983 Bollywood film, directed by Ramesh Behl, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Randhir Kapoor, Zeenat Aman and Tina Munim. It is a movie about freedom fighters trying to liberate Goa from the Portuguese. The film was an average in box office though the songs were super hit.
Cast
The release of Coolie after 2 weeks of its release impacted the movie's run . But still it managed to celebrate 100 days at several centers. It had a silver jubilee run ( @3 shows) at Opera theatre, Calcutta.

It's from a recording of a British Channel 4 broadcast of the film many years ago and is hard-subbed for the Hindi-language impaired. Set at the court of the harsh Mughhal Emperor Jehangir (Chandramohan), the film tells two separate love stories: the first of Mangal Singh (Ali) and Kanwar (Sheela) amid the violent feud raging between their families, and the second, the famous one of Jehangir and Nurjehan (Banu). Mangal kills the brother and father of his lover. His father, the loyal Rajput chieftain Sangram Singh (Modi), captures his son and Jehangir passes the death sentence. Jehangir's claim that the law knows no class distinction is put on the test when a washerwoman (Akhtar) accuses Queen Nurjehan of having inadvertently killed her husband during a hunt. -

Set at the court of the harsh Mughhal Emperor Jehangir (Chandramohan), the film tells two separate love stories: the first of Mangal Singh (Ali) and Kanwar (Sheela) amid the violent feud raging between their families, and the second, the famous one of Jehangir and Nurjehan (Banu). Mangal kills the brother and father of his lover. His father, the loyal Rajput chieftain Sangram Singh (Modi), captures his son and Jehangir passes the death sentence. Jehangir's claim that the law knows no class distinction is put on the test when a washerwoman (Akhtar) accuses Queen Nurjehan of having inadvertently killed her husband during a hunt.
