I set my record in Distance of just over 105 kilometers. Maximum speed on the flat was 40.0 km/h. Average speed is not worth of mentioning. So I'm sure that I could exceed 100 kilometers for literally 3:30 hour or even less!
Details:
-Unfortunately I have no fancy equipment. I owe very old Alex Broskow aggressive model with very bad innerboot, which actually cut my foot after 6th lap, so I found bleeding a lot after finishing ride. That really slowed down after the sixth lap!

China Tests Helium Filled Balloon's Performance above 20 Kilometers
A Chinese company is testing the possibility of maintaining a helium balloon in a stable height more than 20 kilometers above ground, while remotely controlling its movements, according to experts at the test site in New Zealand's South Island on Saturday.
The helium balloon, named "Traveler", has a diameter of 30 meters and various equipment attached that can collect air and ground information

The PSA Peugeot Citroen Group isn’t enjoying the best of times as far as sales figures are concerned. On the plus side, the French manufacturer is on a roll in terms of environmentally friendly technologies. A case in point is the Peugeot 208 1.6 BlueHDi, which is the cleanest non-hybrid car you can buy right now.
On sale in the United Kingdom for £14,995, the French supermini is animated by a 75 PS (74 horsepower) 1.6-liter turbo diesel engine which emits 79 grams of CO2 per kilometer. The ultra efficient powerplant can return as much as 94.2 imperial mpg. That’s 78.4 mpg in North American currency or the equivalent to 3 liters per every 100 kilometers.
Available in three- and five-door configurations in Active or Allure trim, the 2016 Peugeot 208 1.6 BlueHDi is a valuable addition to the PSA Peugeot Citroen Group’s target of reducing CO2 emissions across the board. At the present moment, the PSA Group is the European market leader for CO2 emissions across the model range, with an average of 110.3 g/km.
For those who need more than 75 PS from their supermini, Peugeot also offers the 208 1.6 BlueHDi in 100 and 120 PS tunes. Instead of a five-speed manual, the 120 PS variant comes with a six-speed transmission. The most powerful oil-burning engine in the lineup emits 95 grams of CO2 per 100 kilometers.
The question is, how did the engineers make this turbo diesel run so clean? The answer is Selective Catalytic Reduction. Combined with an additive filter and stop&start;, the manufacturer’s SCR technology made it possible for the Peugeot 208 1.6 BlueHDi to become the cleanest non-hybrid car on sale today.
It’s a top job, we’ll give Peugeot that, but keep in mind that these emission figures were achieved in ideal conditions (i.e. New European Driving Cycle). But nevertheless, the same testing conditions are used by every automaker with sales operations in Europe and the United Kingdom.

It accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in six seconds, and yet consumes not even two liters of diesel per 100 kilometers (117.6 US mpg). The Audi Q7 e-tron quattro is sporty, comfortable and at the same time highly efficient. The world's first TDI plug in hybrid with quattro drive, it is also the first plug-in hybrid with a diesel engine from Audi.
The Q7 e-tron quattro is Audi's second model with a powerful plug-in hybrid drive system. The model combines the best of two worlds: Powered by the lithium-ion battery, the large SUV covers up to 56 kilometers (34.8 mi) on electric power alone - quietly, powerfully and with zero local emissions. Together with the diesel engine, the car can cover a total distance of 1,410 kilometers (876.1 mi).
Sporty power and minimum consumption
The Audi Q7 e-tron quattro is the world's first plug-in hybrid car with a six-cylinder diesel engine and permanent all-wheel drive. Its sporty power is impressive: The 3.0 TDI and electric motor deliver 275 kW (373 hp) and 700 Nm (516.3 lb-ft) of system torque - enough to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in 6.0 seconds and for a top speed of 225 km/h (139.8 mph). The Q7 e-tron quattro travels up to 56 kilometers (34.8 mi) on electric power alone. According to the ECE standard for plug-in hybrid vehicles, the Audi Q7 e-tron quattro needs only 1.7 liters of diesel fuel per 100 kilometers (138.4 US mpg) - with a CO2 emission level of less than 50 grams per kilometer (80.5 g/mi) and a new best value in the segment. The standard thermal management system with integrated heat pump was specially developed for the Q7 e‑tron quattro. With this technology, Audi is the first manufacturer worldwide to set a new benchmark in the areas of interior comfort and climate control efficiency.

====GIANT DRAGON PYRAMID IN CHINA====== .
History Documentary : China's Lost Pyramids ,ANCIENT ,SECRET STRANGE MYSTERY .
The pyramids of China are approximately 100 ancient mounds, many of which were used for burial. Most of them are located within 100 kilometers of the city of Xi'an, on the Qin Chuan Plains in the Shaanxi Province, central China.
The existence of pyramids in China has come in two stages. Most early stories were focused on the existence of "Great White Pyramid." A photograph of this pyramid in the Qinling mountains was taken by Americans in 1945, but remained in military files for 45 years. US Air Force pilot James Gaussman is said to have seen a white jewel topped pyramid during a flight between India and China during World War II, but there is scant evidence for a source on this story.

ENLACE NOTICIA / http://www.que.es/ultimas-noticias/curiosas/201601191259-olvida-mujer-gasolinera-conduce-kilometros.html

A Chinese company is testing the possibility of maintaining a helium balloon in a stable height more than 20 kilometers above ground, while remotely controlling its movements, according to experts at the test site in New Zealand's South Island on Saturday.
The helium balloon, named "Traveler", has a diameter of 30 meters and various equipment attached that can collect air and ground information from 20 to 100 kilometers above the ground.
"Our purpose is to achieve the long duration flight at a stable height to provide better services for people," said Zhou Fei, from Shenzhen Kuang Chi Higher Institute of Technology, a Shenzhen-based private research institute.
The balloon is powered by a highly-effective lithium battery and a solar panel, which together provide continuous power day and night.
"During the day, the solar panel provides electricity to the cabin while charging the power system. After sunset, the rechargeable battery provides electricity to the whole system," said Zheng Xiang, a researcher from Shenzhen Kuang Chi Higher Institute of Technology.
According to Zheng, NASA and Google have their own projects sending airliners 20 to 100 kilometers over the ground. However, China’s "Traveler" has more complex technology, a larger load, is controllable, recyclable, and will be able to provide more services in the future.
Aircraft fly at altitudes of less than 20 kilometers while satellites and spacecraft orbit the earth at heights of over 100 kilometers. Therefore, the space between 20 and 100 kilometers above the ground is an area that has not yet been fully developed.
If technical equipment can be placed in this area, it could provide more efficient and cheaper services than what is currently offered by satellites in areas such as communications, navigation, and meteorology.
"Compared to the satellites, it can provide clearer, more efficient observation of both ground and air, and is also more economical," said Luan Lin, a deputy with Shenzhen Kuang Chi Higher Institute of Technology. More on: http://newscontent.cctv.com/NewJsp/news.jsp?fileId=299779

Further, space is a vacuum, meaning that sound cannot carry because molecules are not close enough together to transmit sound between them. That's not to say that space is empty, however. Gas, dust and other bits of matter float around "emptier" areas of the universe, while more crowded regions can host planets, stars and galaxies.
No one knows exactly how big space is. The difficulty arises because of what we can see in our detectors. We measure long distances in space in "light-years," representing the distance it takes for light to travel in a year (roughly 5.8 trillion miles, or 9.3 trillion kilometers).

With more than 40 percent of the world’s population living within 100 kilometers of the ocean and 80 percent of global trade water-based, oceans are key to sustaining individual livelihoods and the global economy. But the combined threats of overfishing and climate change stress our oceans, demanding the need for cross-sector partnerships designed to increase ocean and coastal resilience and establish and promote sustainable fishing practices.
As part of the Clinton Global Initiative’s 2015 Annual Meeting, VICE CEO and co-founder Shane Smith moderated a discussion panel titled 'Sustainable Oceans.' Joining the panel were actor Ted Danson, oceanographer Sylvia Earle, Executive Director of the Mesoamerican Reef Fund Maria José González, and President of the Republic of Seychelles, James Michel. President Bill Clinton delivered opening remarks.

One of the most fun outdoor activities in northern Thailand is cruising around the country roads that wind through the hills around Chiang Mai. And people who like day trips from Chiang Mai will be pleased to know there is one cool option. You can take your own bike or rent a bike and do it yourself on this beautiful 90km all day experience that takes you through excellent mountain views, waterfalls, beautiful gardens, adventure activities, elephant camps, orchid and butterfly farms and places to eat.
Getting away from Chiang Mai's hectic, polluted and slightly dangerous driving conditions is great. Traffic slows to a trickle as the scenery changes from businesses into the lush foothills and eventually deep into the mountainous North Country. This is a gorgeous journey, especially for motorcyclists.
Conditions on the countryside roads are surprisingly good. There are thousands of kilometers of paved and good dirt roads crisscrossing the mountains between Chiang Mai and the Burmese border. You could sleep in guesthouses or camp and have weeks of exploration, giving you an excellent chance to interact with the Thai locals. But for people who do not have the time to do that, the Samoeng Loop is a great option.
Follow along with me for the day and enjoy our journey!

In this episode of CYCLE AROUND JAPAN, we will take you to a spring journey of Noto Peninsula. The Noto Peninsula makes up the northern half of Ishikawa Prefecture, extending about 100 kilometers into the Sea of Japan. The peninsula is known for its coastal scenery, particularly along the Okunoto coast, as well as for its rural atmosphere. We will start our trip from Kanazawa where people enjoying cherry blossom, to Rokko Saki, the northernmost point of the peninsula. Because the area's public transportation is limited, a bicycle is the best way to explore the peninsula, and it allows visitors much more freedom in exploring the region's attractions such as the lacquer-making town of Wajima.

Gemini 4 (or Gemini IV) was the second manned space flight in NASA's Project Gemini, occurring in June 1965. It was the tenth manned American spaceflight (including two X-15 flights at altitudes exceeding 100 kilometers (54 nmi)). Astronauts James McDivitt and Edward H. White, II circled the Earth 66 times in four days, making it the first US flight to approach the five-day flight of the Soviet Vostok 5. The highlight of the mission was the first space walk by an American, during which White floated free outside the spacecraft, tethered to it, for approximately 20 minutes. Both of these accomplishments helped the United States overcome the Soviet Union's early lead in the Space Race.
The flight also included the first attempt to make a space rendezvous as McDivitt attempted to maneuver his craft close to the Titan II upper stage which launched it into orbit, but this was not successful.
The flight was the first American flight to perform many scientific experiments in space, including use of a sextant to investigate the use of celestial navigation for lunar flight in the Apollo program.

This conceptual image shows how Spaceport America is expected to look at completion in 2010. Called Spaceport America, the $200million taxpayer-funded project will launch spacecraft off the 10,000-foot runway attached to an aeroplane. The spacecraft will then break free and rocket 62 miles (100 kilometers) into space for a total of two hours including five minutes of weightlessness before coming back down to Earth.

Space travel is a form of travel in which passengers enter space, the vast region outside the protective envelope of the Earth's atmosphere. Space starts 62 miles (100 kilometers) above the Earth's crust, at a point called the Karman Line, and it continues for a distance that appears to be infinite, interrupted periodically by celestial bodies such as stars, planets, and so forth. Humans have long had romantic associations with traveling in space, with people considering space “the final frontier,” as they famously say on Star Trek.
Humans have been intrigued by the night sky for centuries, tracking the movements of stars, planets, comets, and other features in the sky and pondering the mysteries of the heavens. In the 20th century, the fascination with space took on a whole new level of excitement when humans successfully launched manned spacecraft out of the Earth's atmosphere, putting astronauts in space and on the Moon. With the proof that manned spaceflight was possible, the concept of space travel began to seem less like a pipe dream and more like a reality, and private companies began to enter the field, developing space planes and offering commercial flights.
In the 20th century, travel in space was restricted to astronauts who worked for various governments, and it was primarily performed for research purposes. It allowed people to collect samples from the Moon, maintain space telescopes such as the Hubble Telescope, and eventually to perform research on the International Space Station, a structure that orbits the Earth and houses astronauts from several nations at any given time.
While space travel for research is certainly admirable and important, many people are more interested in the potential for it as a form of recreation, tourism, or exploration. Civilians began purchasing tickets for tourist flights into space in the early 2000s, sometimes going on brief suborbital flights in which they barely entered space, and sometimes spending several days in space, exploring the International Space Station and enjoying the experience of being in space.
The potential for space travel is infinite, just like the universe, bounded only by human technology. Many people hope that the dreams of science fiction, such as massive ships which can travel between galaxies, will someday be realized. People might explore the rest of the solar system and galaxy, learning more about the nature of the universe and potentially leading to a discovery of life beyond the boundaries of Earth.

2016 Audi Q7
With the new Q7, Audi is setting standards in the premium Sport Utility Vehicle segment. 325 kilograms less weight and the low center of mass make it extremely agile. At the same time, it is the most spacious car in its segment. Although the exterior dimensions have gotten smaller, it offers substantially more interior room for passengers and luggage. Its innovative assistance and infotainment systems take the Sport Utility Vehicle to the front of the pack. The efficient engines consume 26 percent less fuel on average. Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, Audi Board Member for Technical Development: "The new Audi Q7 is a statement of our competence. Weighing 325 kilograms less, it sets the benchmark in its class. It is around 26 percent more efficient and is equipped with the latest assistance systems, infotainment modules and connect features." With a curb weight of just 1 comma 995 kilograms , the new Audi Q7 is the lightest in its class. It weighs 325 kilograms less than the previous model. With its lightweight, multimaterial body and an all-new chassis, it is comfortable while at the same time offering the typical performance of a sporty Audi and that with top notch Carbon dioxide values. Audi engineers have reduced the fuel consumption of the Q7 by as much as 28 percent and 23 percent. The engines set top marks in the segment of large Sport Utility Vehicles with all wheel drive. The 3 point 0 TDI with 200 kilowatt 272 horsepower and the 3 point 0 TFSI with 245 kilowatt 333 horsepower accelerate the new Audi Q7 from 0 to 100 kilometer hour 62 point 1 miles per hour in 6 point 1 seconds and 6 point 3 seconds, respectively. The diesel V6 consumes on average just 5 point 7 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers, corresponding to 149 grams of Carbon dioxide per kilometer. The Audi Q7 also sets standards with respect to the operating concept, infotainment, connectivity and driver assistance systems. The second generation modular infotainment platform is on board, as is the Audi virtual cockpit. The new MMI all in touch control unit with large touchpad makes operation child's play. Other attractive innovations include the expanded services from Audi connect, the Audi tablet for the rear seat passengers and the two sound systems with 3D audio. Smartphone integration with Google Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is also new. The new Audi Q7 is one of the first cars worldwide to offer these functions. One highlight is the comprehensive portfolio of new driver assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assistant. No other production vehicle in the world currently offers more. The Audi Q7 e-tron quattro, which will be launched a short time later, is the first plug in hybrid from Audi with a diesel engine. It impresses with system 275 kilowatt 373 horse power of system output and a system torque of 700 newton meters, and is also the world's first diesel plug-in hybrid with quattro all wheel drive in the premium Sport Utility Vehicle segment. It consumes just 1 point 7 liters per 100 kilometers, which corresponds to less than 50 grams Carbon dioxide per kilometer. A full battery charge is sufficient for a distance of 56 kilometers.

Science Discovery || What is Space - Discovery Channel
From the perspective of an Earthling, outer space is a zone that occurs about 100 kilometers (60 miles) above the planet, where there is no appreciable air to breathe or to scatter light. In that area, blue gives way to black because oxygen molecules are not in enough abundance to make the sky blue.

Five rocky alien worlds that are 80 percent as old as the universe itself have been discovered, suggesting that Earth-size planets have been a feature of the Milky Way galaxy almost since its beginning.
The newfound exoplanets circle Kepler-444, an 11.2-billion-year-old star about 25 percent smaller than the sun that lies 117 light-years from Earth. All of the worlds are Venus-size or smaller and are therefore rocky, though scientists know nothing else about their composition.
All five alien planets complete an orbit in less than 10 days, meaning they're almost certainly too hot to support life as we know it. But Kepler-444 hints at the existence of other ancient planetary systems that may be more hospitable, researchers said. [10 Exoplanets That Could Host Alien Life
"We now know that Earth-sized planets have formed throughout most of the universe’s 13.8-billion-year history, which could provide scope for the existence of ancient life in the galaxy," lead study author Tiago Campante, of the University of Birmingham in England, said in a statement.
For perspective, Earth and everything else in our own solar system formed about 4.6 billion years ago.
Campante and his colleagues discovered Kepler-444 and its five known planets after analyzing data gathered by NASA's Kepler space telescope. Kepler hunts for planets by noting the tiny brightness dips caused when they cross their host star's face from the spacecraft's perspective.
Kepler can also pick up brightness changes caused by sound waves within the star that affect its temperature and thus its luminosity. Studying these natural oscillations — a strategy known as asteroseismology — can help scientists determine a star's size, mass and age.
"When asteroseismology emerged about two decades ago, we could only use it on the sun and a few bright stars, but thanks to Kepler, we can now apply the technique to literally thousands of stars," said co-author Daniel Huber, of the University of Sydney in Australia.
"Asteroseismology allows us to precisely measure the radius of Kepler-444 and hence the sizes of its planets," he added. "For the smallest planet in the Kepler-444 system, which is slightly larger than Mercury, we measured its size with an uncertainty of only 100 kilometers
