Arvind is a common male name of Indian origin. It means lotus in the Sanskrit language. Its variants include Aravinda, Aravind, Aravindan, Arvindh (in South India), and Aurobindo (in Bengali). It is used by the followers of many religions, including Hinduism, Christianity, Sikhism, and Islam.
Arvind means lotus in the Sanskrit language. In particular, the word may refer to the red lotus, on which the Hindu goddess of wealth and prosperity - Lakshmi - sits.
Arvind is also a name of the Hindu god Shiva, who is depicted as bearing a crescent moon on his head.
Arvind is also believed to be the name for a minor god, Aravinda, one of a number of gods that peopled the court of Indra the ancient Indian god of thunder, said to be king of the gods. Other gods of Indra's court include Vayu - the god of wind and Agni - the god of fire. It is believed that Aravinda was the god of wit, intelligence and shrewd scholarship, before the arrival of the trinity - Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma in Hindu religion.[citation needed] Some stories say Aravinda often visited earth in his avatar form, testing and rewarding men for their wit.

Plot: BUGABOO is a Silicon Valley film. It has been produced by people who live and work in Silicon Valley and who have prospered with the high-tech boom of the nineties. The Internet and the personal computer, while creating Silicon Valley, have also created armies of well-paid Indian professionals who lead a curious existence: as professionals they constitute the epicenter of America's recent growth binge, but as individuals they continue to stay inside cocooned, secure Indian communities which are quite divorced from all things American. A group of such engineers defies the even flow of this existence by introducing "random disturbances" into their lives. These deviations from normal routine punctuate the film until they finally lead to a "grand deviance," unthinkable for sober, law-abiding engineers from India. It is then, at the end of the film, that they discover simple solutions to seemingly complex problems in their lives.
