Terence McKenna
Terence Kemp McKenna (November 16, 1946 – April 3, 2000) was an American ethnobotanist, mystic, psychonaut, lecturer, and author who spoke and wrote about a variety of subjects, including psychedelic drugs, plant-based entheogens, shamanism, metaphysics, alchemy, language, philosophy, culture, technology, and the theoretical origins of human consciousness. He was called the "Timothy Leary of the '90s", "one of the leading authorities on the ontological foundations of shamanism", and the "intellectual voice of rave culture".
McKenna formulated a concept about the nature of time based on fractal patterns he claimed to have discovered in the I Ching, which he called novelty theory, proposing this predicted the end of time in the year 2012. His promotion of novelty theory and its connection to the Mayan calendar is credited as one of the factors leading to the widespread beliefs about 2012 eschatology. Novelty theory is considered pseudoscience.

Timewave Zero (album)
Timewave Zero is the fourth album release by Dutch Aggrotech band, Grendel. It was released in Europe on April 20, 2012 through Infacted Recordings and in the United States through Metropolis Records. It features a re-recorded version of their 2009 track "Chemicals + Circuitry". The track 'Deep Waters' features Dutch singer Lis van den Akker from Dutch act Misery. A music video was released for Timewave Zero on YouTube.

He supported the survey of different statuses of the human mind through the consumption of psychedelic substances such as ‘psychedelic mushrooms’. He traveled far and wide and studied the impact of psychotropic florae on human culture, human cognizance and evolution. He also extensively researched on and introduced the concept of ‘novelty theory’. His ideologies and his scientific appreciation of nature can be seen in works including ‘The Archaic Revival’, ‘Food of the Gods: The Search for the Original Tree of Knowledge- A Radical History of Plants’, ‘The Invisible Landscape’ and ‘Drugs’ to name a few. He was also the co-founder of ‘Botanical Dimensions’, an ethnobotanical sanctuary in Hawaii. Towards the end of his life, he became actively involved in advocating the importance of ‘technological singularity’.

And the body politic, like any body, when it feels itself to be sick, it begins to produce antibodies, or strategies for overcoming the condition of disease. And the 20th century is an enormous effort at self-healing. Phenomena as diverse as surrealism, body piercing, psychedelic drug use, sexual permissiveness, jazz, experimental dance, rave culture, tattooing, the list is endless."

Terence McKenna
Terence Kemp McKenna (November 16, 1946 – April 3, 2000) was an American ethnobotanist, mystic, psychonaut, lecturer, and author who spoke and wrote about a variety of subjects, including psychedelic drugs, plant-based entheogens, shamanism, metaphysics, alchemy, language, philosophy, culture, technology, and the theoretical origins of human consciousness. He was called the "Timothy Leary of the '90s", "one of the leading authorities on the ontological foundations of shamanism", and the "intellectual voice of rave culture".
McKenna formulated a concept about the nature of time based on fractal patterns he claimed to have discovered in the I Ching, which he called novelty theory, proposing this predicted the end of time in the year 2012. His promotion of novelty theory and its connection to the Mayan calendar is credited as one of the factors leading to the widespread beliefs about 2012 eschatology. Novelty theory is considered pseudoscience.
