Shimla. Himachal has witnessed a reduction in its snow cover in almost all the basins during 2015-16 in comparison to 2010-14 ... The uppermost part of Beas Basin, that is areas upstream of Bhuntar show negative results in all the observation months (October to March) in 2015-16, in comparison to the area as in 2010-14, whereas there are slightly better results in the Parvati Basin, which may be due to altitudinal effects ...
