The right to work is the concept that people have a human right to work, or engage in productive employment, and may not be prevented from doing so. The right to work is enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and recognized in international human rights law through its inclusion in the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, where the right to work emphasizes economic, social and cultural development.
Article 23.1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states:
The International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights states in Part III, Article 6:
(2) The steps to be taken by a State Party to the present Covenant to achieve the full realization of this right shall include technical and vocational guidance and training programmes, policies and techniques to achieve steady economic, social and cultural development and full and productive employment under conditions safeguarding fundamental political and economic freedoms to the individual.
With Michigan soon to become the 25th state to adopt "Right to Work" laws it about time you understood them. My Johnny Cash Teacher attempt to Walk the Line and do some explain'
Right now, many successful companies negotiate multi-year agreements with their employees through a representative of the employee's choosing. These agreements protect companies from frivolous lawsuits and give corporations predictable labor costs so they can hire more workers. These multi-year agreements give employees the job security they need to buy a new car or send their children to college without fear of being fired. That strengthens our economy and helps everyone do better. Some politicians want to make it a crime for corporations to sign agreements with their employees. Instead of government overreaching into the private sector, companies, workers and their unions should work together to create good paying jobs and safe workplaces. With millions of Americans still unemployed, Ri...

Get your "Right to Work: Explained!" video here: http://www.unionproof.com/righttowork “The phrase “right to work,” dates back to 1902, and it sure seems catchy; it sounds like a guarantee of employment, right? In fact, it has nothing to do with whether you’re guaranteed to have and hold a job…” This short and powerful message will help you create an environment where unions simply aren’t necessary. Give employees the information and knowledge they need to choose to remain union-free, no matter what an organizer may promise. Educate employees on: • What Right-to Work laws say, and why it’s important to know how they apply to you. • Why it’s now necessary to focus on micro-geographies, getting Right-to-Work legislation passed at the County level • Where...
"Over the chants of thousands of angry protesters, Republican lawmakers made Michigan a right-to-work state Tuesday, dealing a devastating and once-unthinkable defeat to organized labor in a place that has been a bastion of the movement for generations. The GOP-dominated House ignored Democrats' pleas to delay the final passage and instead approved two bills with the same ruthless efficiency that the Senate showed last week. One measure dealt with private-sector workers, the other with government employees. Republican Gov. Rick Snyder signed them both within hours, calling them "pro-worker and pro-Michigan."* The "Right to Work" bill is not as helpful to workers as it sounds; it, and the people behind it, will kill unions in Michigan. People thought Governor Rick Snyder would help worker...
Former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich explains the truth behind so-called "Right to Work" laws and how they hurt working families.
Hillary Clinton, speaking "privately" to union supporters, declares her opposition to Americans to have the right to work independently of union control. Her own words are so hilariously damning that all we did was add a little music.

A women who has been working overtime at her job for years is now worried that her OT might be taken away. She needs the OT to pay her mortgage. But the law says no. She does not have the right to work overtime. In fact, she does not even have the right to her job because she is an employee at will. So the best thing for her to do is go find out why the overtime is in question. She needs to get in front of the issue and be part of the conversation. The best way for her to keep that overtime pay is to proactively solve the problem. The law is of no help to her in this situation.

Polls show that Americans overwhelmingly believe that workers should not be forced to pay union dues. Three new states have recently passed right-to-work laws that make paying union dues voluntary. Several more states are considering doing the same. Unions and their allies argue that such laws lower wages. They contend the economic benefits of greater union membership justify forcing workers to pay union dues.

Monopolies charge their customers higher prices and care less about controlling costs. New research from The Heritage Foundation shows labor unions act just like business monopolies in this regard. Union financial filings reveal unions in non-right-to-work states charge workers 10 percent more. They also pay their top full-time officers $20,000 more a year. Unions charge monopoly prices and pay monopoly salaries when they can force workers to pay their dues.

The Illinois House had a spirited debate over the issue of enacting right-to-work legislation. Democrats voted unanimously against the bill. All but one Republican voted "present." Gov. Bruce Rauner has called for local right-to-work zones as a way of improving the state's business climate. When he failed to introduce a bill as the General Assembly's May 31 adjournment neared, House Speaker Michael Madigan, D-Chicago, called for a vote on a bill drafted by Democrats.

You ain´t got no destination
So you´re searching every kind of way
Looking for a new direction
Hoping for a better day
What ‘do you got to work on
What ‘do you got to do
To find some peace of mind
What ‘do you got to work on
When are you gonna take the time
(Chorus)
And put your life back on the right track
Listen to your heart, for a start
When you make up for what you lack
’Gotta do your part, I know it´s hard
You might have to bury your pride
’Cause it takes a little while
But when your life´s back on the right track
You will feel so good, that you made it right
You might think it seems so easy
And find a way to push it back inside
But you´ll always keep on running
’Cause there is no place to hide
What are you so afraid of
What have you got to loose
We only get one life
What are you really made of
When are you gonna choose to fight
(Chorus x2)
Gotta work, gotta work, gotta work it out
Gotta work, gotta work, gotta work it out
Gotta work, gotta work, gotta work it out
