While the main priority of Choices Recovery is the treatment of addiction, we also realize that there is much more that we can and should do in the fight against drug abuse and alcoholism. Rehabilitation is just one part of a much bigger picture. Our most effective tool in the battle against addiction is education. A recent occasion found Choices Recovery as the sponsor of Durkin Entertainment’s “RockNRolla” EcoLuxe Lounge at the famous Avalon Hollywood on April 8th, 2015. Organized by Debbie Durkin, Los Angeles’ leading producer of sustainable product placement in TV and film, the EcoLuxe Lounge is a premier red carpet event that makes appearances at various awards ceremonies and festivals throughout the year, gathering together many of the world’s top providers of socially conscious and ecologically sound products and services. Hosting the Choices Recovery Celebrity Interview Lounge was Chase Masterson, who had the opportunity to speak with many of the notable attendees at the EcoLuxe Lounge about their personal perspectives on substance abuse and the possible solutions to this problem that we face in our society today. One of those guests that spent a few moments with Chase was actress Lexi Ainsworth, an Emmy nominee for her work on General Hospital and the star of roles in Chosen, A Girl Like Her and many more. She spoke with Chase about some of the things she had seen throughout her lifetime in regards to addiction and recovery. ““I’ve had friends and family members go through addiction, and it’s a lifelong battle that they constantly have to deal with everyday,” Lexi shared in her interview, a video of which has been released on Choices Recovery’s YouTube channel. “It takes a lot of strength and courage, but they have to get to a place where they know that they need help. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom in order for that to happen.
