Welcome to the First AIF Database, part of the First AIF Project, hosted by
the Australian Centre for the Study of Armed Conflict and Society (ACSACS)
at UNSW Canberra.
Donations to the UNSW Canberra "AIF Project" are tax deductible and will allow the
database to be expanded to include additional record fields, new sources of information,
photographs and other descriptive material.

The AIF database is drawn from a range of official sources, including personal files on the National Archives website, and Embarkation and Nominal Rolls on the Australian War Memorial website. A number of errors were introduced into these records at the time of their compilation, and when these are identified they are corrected on the AIF Project database. Due to the volume of queries received, we are unable to conduct research for either individuals or groups or to answer questions about the information contained on individuals, their units or their service. If a record is inaccurate, please complete the correction notification form. |
