Correction: I was incorrect about Jim Croce's age. He was in his Late 20's, not his Mid 30s, when he made it big. He died at 30. My apologies.. Also, I may have unintentionally left the impression when I spoke at the start ov the video that he wrote this song. In fact he did not.. On the 40th anniversary of the tragic death of the great Jim Croce, I offer my very humble version of his great song. I Got A Name.. I carry it with me, and I sing it loud.. If it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud.. Peace to your soul Jim.. You will never be forgotten. Nor will your partner Maury... He gave you wings with his FABULOUS guitar and vocal work.....
Splendida canzone di Jim Croce, inserita nella colonna sonora del film di Quentin Tarantino.

at the cannery in NASHVILLE 1987 Jerry Reed doing a great song by Jim Crose
Like the pine trees linin' the windin' road
I've got a name, I've got a name
Like the singin' bird and the croakin' toad
I've got a name, I've got a name
And I carry it with me like my daddy did
But I'm livin' the dream that he kept hid
Movin' me down the highway
Rollin' me down the highway
Movin' ahead so life won't pass me by
Like the north wind whistlin' down the sky
I've got a song, I've got a song
Like the whippoorwill and the baby's cry
I've got a song, I've got a song
And I carry it with me and I sing it loud
If it gets me nowhere, I'll go there proud
Movin' me down the highway
Rollin' me down the highway
Movin' ahead so life won't pass me by
And I'm gonna go there free
Like the fool I am and I'll always be
I've got a dream, I've got a dream
They can change their minds but they can't change me
I've got a dream, I've got a dream
Oh, I know I could share it if you want me to
If you're going my way, I'll go with you
Movin' me down the highway
Rollin' me down the highway
Movin' ahead so life won't pass me by
Movin' me down the highway
Rollin' me down the highway
