In this battle, 4th Marines fought a hugely outnumbering Vietnamese force and defeated them. Two medals of honor came out of this battle, one for James Livingston and one for Jay Vargas.
The battle took place near the mouth of the Cua Viet river in South Vietnam and was one of the most ferocious land battles fought by Battalion size Marine forces with supporting arms from the Navy and Marine Corps.
On 29 April 1968, the 2/4 Marine Battalion Landing Team of the 3rd Marine Division, locked horns with an NVA Division (304th) in the 'ville" of Dai Do on the Cua Viet River 'horseshoe' just south of the DMZ (I Corp RVN). Intelligence had tipped our Forces that an entire NVA Division was in the first stage of a major march to seize and destroy the 3rd Marine Division Headquarters at Dong Ha. The Army's grunt rifle battalion 3/21st Infantry, 196th LIB (out of the Americal) was attached to the 3rd Marine Division on May 1st to help quell the NVA's intentions.
The stubbornness of the NVA was stunning (as was always the case), though they out-numbered the US troops three to one. And though the loss of American lives was staggering (one is too many), the courage and the stamina of the Marines and Army was valorous. The campaign was marked by constant bombing and shelling (aerial, land based and Naval Cruiser USS Boston). At several points the US Military powers used experimental 2000 lb bombs, when the village areas (Dai Do, Dinh To, Dong Huan, An Lac, Thuong Do and Nhi Ha) turned into a NVA hornet nest. The 3rd Marines officially list the series of actions as ended on May 15 1968 and labeled it (during Operation Night Owl) as the Battle of Dai Do. The Americal classifed it as a continuance of Operation Napoleon.

Yet another theme song, ‘Destiny Sonana’, for MBC Drama ‘You're My Destiny’ has been released!
It’s the 4th work by composer Oh Jun Song, following ‘Morning of Canon’, ‘Be the One’, and ‘Ready for Love’. ‘Destiny Sonata’ features flowy piano and beautiful string sounds.
The song received a lot of attention even before it came out, thanks to Jung Dong Ha’s amazing voice that delivers the lyrics very well. He sings, ‘If I reach out and hug you tight, our crossed fates will turn into love, my heart wants you, my destiny’. It perfectly describes how ‘Lee Gun’ (Jang Hyuk) in the drama feels.

オ•ジュンソン作曲家が「キヤノンの朝」、「Be The One」、「Ready For Love」に続き発表した「運命のような君」は、全体的な流れを導いてくれるピアノ演奏と曲の雰囲気を盛り上げる叙情的なストリングス演奏が美しい曲。
そしてチョン•ドンハの品格のあるボイスは‘手を伸ばして君を強く抱きしめれば、ずれた運命も愛になるだろう、心が君を望んでいる運命のような君」という歌詞のように偶然の出会いを運命の愛に感じて葛藤するイ・コン（チャン•ヒョク）の感情を柔らかくて切なく伝え、公開前から視聴者たちの多くの注目と愛を受けた。

오준성 작곡가가 '캐논의 아침', 'Be The One', 'Ready For Love'에 이어 발표한 '운명 같은 너'는 전체적인 흐름을 이끌어주는 피아노 연주와 곡의 분위기를 고조시키는 서정적인 스트링 연주가 아름다운 곡이다.
또한 정동하의 명품 보이스는 '손을 내밀어 너를 꼭 안으면 어긋난 운명도 사랑이 되겠지, 심장이 널 원해 운명 같은 너'라는 가사처럼 우연의 만남을 운명의 사랑으로 느끼고 갈등하는 이건(장혁)의 감정을 부드럽고 애절하게 전달해, 공개 전부터 시청자들의 많은 주목과 사랑을 받았다.

SBS水木ドラマ[主君の太陽]Part.5のタイトル曲として、チョン•ドンハが歌った「Mystery」とスコアミュージック7曲が9月4日リリースされた。
今回公開された「Mystery」は、派手なギター演奏が引き立つドラマ・エンディング・ソング。Part.3で既に公開されたことがあるが、パワフルな歌唱力で認められているチョン•ドンハが電撃参加して「Mystery」で再誕生した。

Đông Hà (
listen) is the capital town of Quang Tri province, Vietnam. It is located at around 16°49′49″N 107°5′50″E / 16.83028°N 107.09722°E / 16.83028; 107.09722Coordinates: 16°49′49″N 107°5′50″E / 16.83028°N 107.09722°E / 16.83028; 107.09722. Dong Ha is situated at the crossroads of National Highway 1A and Route 9, part of the East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC). It lies on the Reunification Express Railway and is served by Dong Ha Railway Station. EWEC is an economic development program which includes Northeast Thailand, Southern Laos, and central Vietnam.
During the Vietnam War, Dong Ha was the northernmost town in South Vietnam and was the location on a strategically important U.S. Marine Combat Base, outposted to provide surveillance of troops movements across the Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Dong Ha was overrun on March 31, 1972, during the initial assaults of the North Vietnamese Easter Offensive.
Tourists come to Dong Ha nowadays, especially ex-servicemen from the U.S. and Vietnam, who nearly always include a DMZ tour in their programs. The contemporary Vietnamese singer Nhu Quynh was born in Dong Ha in 1970.

In this battle, 4th Marines fought a hugely outnumbering Vietnamese force and defeated them. Two medals of honor came out of this battle, one for James Livingston and one for Jay Vargas. The battle took place near the mouth of the Cua Viet river in South Vietnam and was one of the most ferocious land battles fought by Battalion size Marine forces with supporting arms from the Navy and Marine Corps. On 29 April 1968, the 2/4 Marine Battalion Landing Team of the 3rd Marine Division, locked horns with an NVA Division (304th) in the 'ville" of Dai Do on the Cua Viet River 'horseshoe' just south of the DMZ (I Corp RVN). Intelligence had tipped our Forces that an entire NVA Division was in the first stage of a major march to seize and destroy the 3rd Marine Division Headquarters at Dong Ha. The Army's grunt rifle battalion 3/21st Infantry, 196th LIB (out of the Americal) was attached to the 3rd Marine Division on May 1st to help quell the NVA's intentions. The stubbornness of the NVA was stunning (as was always the case), though they out-numbered the US troops three to one. And though the loss of American lives was staggering (one is too many), the courage and the stamina of the Marines and Army was valorous. The campaign was marked by constant bombing and shelling (aerial, land based and Naval Cruiser USS Boston). At several points the US Military powers used experimental 2000 lb bombs, when the village areas (Dai Do, Dinh To, Dong Huan, An Lac, Thuong Do and Nhi Ha) turned into a NVA hornet nest. The 3rd Marines officially list the series of actions as ended on May 15 1968 and labeled it (during Operation Night Owl) as the Battle of Dai Do. The Americal classifed it as a continuance of Operation Napoleon. In this battle, 4th Marines fought a hugely outnumbering Vietnamese force and defeated them. Two medals of honor came out of this battle, one for James Livingston and one for Jay Vargas.
The battle took place near the mouth of the Cua Viet river in South Vietnam and was one of the most ferocious land battles fought by Battalion size Marine forces with supporting arms from the Navy and Marine Corps.
On 29 April 1968, the 2/4 Marine Battalion Landing Team of the 3rd Marine Division, locked horns with an NVA Division (304th) in the 'ville" of Dai Do on the Cua Viet River 'horseshoe' just south of the DMZ (I Corp RVN). Intelligence had tipped our Forces that an entire NVA Division was in the first stage of a major march to seize and destroy the 3rd Marine Division Headquarters at Dong Ha. The Army's grunt rifle battalion 3/21st Infantry, 196th LIB (out of the Americal) was attached to the 3rd Marine Division on May 1st to help quell the NVA's intentions.
The stubbornness of the NVA was stunning (as was always the case), though they out-numbered the US troops three to one. And though the loss of American lives was staggering (one is too many), the courage and the stamina of the Marines and Army was valorous. The campaign was marked by constant bombing and shelling (aerial, land based and Naval Cruiser USS Boston). At several points the US Military powers used experimental 2000 lb bombs, when the village areas (Dai Do, Dinh To, Dong Huan, An Lac, Thuong Do and Nhi Ha) turned into a NVA hornet nest. The 3rd Marines officially list the series of actions as ended on May 15 1968 and labeled it (during Operation Night Owl) as the Battle of Dai Do. The Americal classifed it as a continuance of Operation Napoleon.

In this battle, 4th Marines fought a hugely outnumbering Vietnamese force and defeated them. Two medals of honor came out of this battle, one for James Livingston and one for Jay Vargas.
The battle took place near the mouth of the Cua Viet river in South Vietnam and was one of the most ferocious land battles fought by Battalion size Marine forces with supporting arms from the Navy and Marine Corps.
On 29 April 1968, the 2/4 Marine Battalion Landing Team of the 3rd Marine Division, locked horns with an NVA Division (304th) in the 'ville" of Dai Do on the Cua Viet River 'horseshoe' just south of the DMZ (I Corp RVN). Intelligence had tipped our Forces that an entire NVA Division was in the first stage of a major march to seize and destroy the 3rd Marine Division Headquarters at Dong Ha. The Army's grunt rifle battalion 3/21st Infantry, 196th LIB (out of the Americal) was attached to the 3rd Marine Division on May 1st to help quell the NVA's intentions.
The stubbornness of the NVA was stunning (as was always the case), though they out-numbered the US troops three to one. And though the loss of American lives was staggering (one is too many), the courage and the stamina of the Marines and Army was valorous. The campaign was marked by constant bombing and shelling (aerial, land based and Naval Cruiser USS Boston). At several points the US Military powers used experimental 2000 lb bombs, when the village areas (Dai Do, Dinh To, Dong Huan, An Lac, Thuong Do and Nhi Ha) turned into a NVA hornet nest. The 3rd Marines officially list the series of actions as ended on May 15 1968 and labeled it (during Operation Night Owl) as the Battle of Dai Do. The Americal classifed it as a continuance of Operation Napoleon.

Yet another theme song, ‘Destiny Sonana’, for MBC Drama ‘You're My Destiny’ has been released!
It’s the 4th work by composer Oh Jun Song, following ‘Morning of Canon’, ‘Be the One’, and ‘Ready for Love’. ‘Destiny Sonata’ features flowy piano and beautiful string sounds.
The song received a lot of attention even before it came out, thanks to Jung Dong Ha’s amazing voice that delivers the lyrics very well. He sings, ‘If I reach out and hug you tight, our crossed fates will turn into love, my heart wants you, my destiny’. It perfectly describes how ‘Lee Gun’ (Jang Hyuk) in the drama feels.
