Vídeo de trenes de cercanías de renfe. Estos son mis trenes, nuestros trenes, los de la mayoría de la gente, los que más se usan. Pero qué maltratados son a menudo por quienes mandan sobre ellos, que son precisamente los que no lo usan, los que no se han montado ni una vez en su vida.

Viaje realizado en cabina de tren de Renfe Cercanías (España), línea C10. Recorrido desde la estación de Príncipe Pío en Madrid hasta la localidad de Villalba y regreso. Dicha línea transcurre en paralelo a la Autopista A-6 dirección La Coruña.
En esta línea los trenes circulan con el Sistema ASFA "Digital" (Anuncio de Señales y Frenado Automático). Es un sistema de seguridad que indica al maquinista qué órdenes presenta la señalización de la vía. Además, supervisa la velocidad del tren haciendo que, si se supera en 5 km/h la velocidad máxima permitida, se active el freno de urgencia.
A lo largo del recorrido podemos escuchar los diferentes sonidos que dan las balizas dependiendo de como esté la señal, verde (vía libre), amarilla y verde (anuncio de precaución), amarilla (anuncio de parada) y roja (parada obligatoria). Cuando hay una señal que indica una reducción significativa de velocidad el maquinista escucha un sonido continuo e intenso que obliga a reducir ésta al límite que indique la misma.
También podemos escuchar, en intervalos cortos, el sonido del sistema de seguridad "HOMBRE MUERTO" que recuerda al maquinista la atención en la conducción. Si el conductor no estuviera atento, el tren se detendría automáticamente.
De vuelta a Madrid el tren reduce la velocidad, debido a una precaución por obras, cuando pasa junto a los talleres de trenes Talgo en la localidad de Las Matas (Madrid). Podemos ver una unidad de tren de Alta Velocidad en primer plano totalmente ensamblada y unas cabezas tractoras al fondo que pronto serán enviadas a Arabia Saudita para entrar en servicio en la línea que se está construyendo entre las ciudades de Medina y La Meca. Dicha línea está siendo realizada en su integridad con tecnología española.
Pasado los talleres de Talgo el tren acelera su marcha para llegar puntualmente a la estación madrileña de Príncipe Pío. Fin de trayecto.

Cercanías (Spanish: [θerkaˈni.as]) is the name given to the commuter rail systems of Spain's major metropolitan areas. In Catalonia and Valencia, however, the term is replaced by Rodalies (Eastern Catalan: [ruðəˈli.əs], Western Catalan: [roðaˈli.es]), while the designation Aldirikoak (Basque: [aldiɾikoak]) is used in the Basque Country.
Operated by the national rail company RENFE, Cercanías are in the process of being transferred to the regional autonomous governments, that is the case of Rodalies de Catalonia which has already been handed over to the Catalan Government, now operated by FGC.
There are currently twelve Cercanías systems in Spain: Asturias, Bilbao, Catalonia, Cádiz, Madrid, Málaga, Murcia/Alicante, Santander, San Sebastián, Seville, Valencia, and Zaragoza. It is well linked to Metro systems in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, and Bilbao.
The network was the target of the 2004 Madrid train bombings. The attacks, which killed 191 people in Santa Eugenia, El Pozo and Atocha stations, were the bloodiest terrorist actions in Spain to date.

Viaje realizado en cabina de tren de Renfe Cercanías (España), línea C10. Recorrido desde la estación de Príncipe Pío en Madrid hasta la localidad de Villalba y regreso. Dicha línea transcurre en paralelo a la Autopista A-6 dirección La Coruña. En esta línea los trenes circulan con el Sistema ASFA "Digital" (Anuncio de Señales y Frenado Automático). Es un sistema de seguridad que indica al maquinista qué órdenes presenta la señalización de la vía. Además, supervisa la velocidad del tren haciendo que, si se supera en 5 km/h la velocidad máxima permitida, se active el freno de urgencia. A lo largo del recorrido podemos escuchar los diferentes sonidos que dan las balizas dependiendo de como esté la señal, verde (vía libre), amarilla y verde (anuncio de precaución), amarilla (anuncio de parada) y roja (parada obligatoria). Cuando hay una señal que indica una reducción significativa de velocidad el maquinista escucha un sonido continuo e intenso que obliga a reducir ésta al límite que indique la misma. También podemos escuchar, en intervalos cortos, el sonido del sistema de seguridad "HOMBRE MUERTO" que recuerda al maquinista la atención en la conducción. Si el conductor no estuviera atento, el tren se detendría automáticamente. De vuelta a Madrid el tren reduce la velocidad, debido a una precaución por obras, cuando pasa junto a los talleres de trenes Talgo en la localidad de Las Matas (Madrid). Podemos ver una unidad de tren de Alta Velocidad en primer plano totalmente ensamblada y unas cabezas tractoras al fondo que pronto serán enviadas a Arabia Saudita para entrar en servicio en la línea que se está construyendo entre las ciudades de Medina y La Meca. Dicha línea está siendo realizada en su integridad con tecnología española. Pasado los talleres de Talgo el tren acelera su marcha para llegar puntualmente a la estación madrileña de Príncipe Pío. Viaje realizado en cabina de tren de Renfe Cercanías (España), línea C10. Recorrido desde la estación de Príncipe Pío en Madrid hasta la localidad de Villalba y regreso. Dicha línea transcurre en paralelo a la Autopista A-6 dirección La Coruña.
En esta línea los trenes circulan con el Sistema ASFA "Digital" (Anuncio de Señales y Frenado Automático). Es un sistema de seguridad que indica al maquinista qué órdenes presenta la señalización de la vía. Además, supervisa la velocidad del tren haciendo que, si se supera en 5 km/h la velocidad máxima permitida, se active el freno de urgencia.
A lo largo del recorrido podemos escuchar los diferentes sonidos que dan las balizas dependiendo de como esté la señal, verde (vía libre), amarilla y verde (anuncio de precaución), amarilla (anuncio de parada) y roja (parada obligatoria). Cuando hay una señal que indica una reducción significativa de velocidad el maquinista escucha un sonido continuo e intenso que obliga a reducir ésta al límite que indique la misma.
También podemos escuchar, en intervalos cortos, el sonido del sistema de seguridad "HOMBRE MUERTO" que recuerda al maquinista la atención en la conducción. Si el conductor no estuviera atento, el tren se detendría automáticamente.
De vuelta a Madrid el tren reduce la velocidad, debido a una precaución por obras, cuando pasa junto a los talleres de trenes Talgo en la localidad de Las Matas (Madrid). Podemos ver una unidad de tren de Alta Velocidad en primer plano totalmente ensamblada y unas cabezas tractoras al fondo que pronto serán enviadas a Arabia Saudita para entrar en servicio en la línea que se está construyendo entre las ciudades de Medina y La Meca. Dicha línea está siendo realizada en su integridad con tecnología española.
Pasado los talleres de Talgo el tren acelera su marcha para llegar puntualmente a la estación madrileña de Príncipe Pío. Fin de trayecto.

Viaje realizado en cabina de tren de Renfe Cercanías (España), línea C10. Recorrido desde la estación de Príncipe Pío en Madrid hasta la localidad de Villalba y regreso. Dicha línea transcurre en paralelo a la Autopista A-6 dirección La Coruña.
En esta línea los trenes circulan con el Sistema ASFA "Digital" (Anuncio de Señales y Frenado Automático). Es un sistema de seguridad que indica al maquinista qué órdenes presenta la señalización de la vía. Además, supervisa la velocidad del tren haciendo que, si se supera en 5 km/h la velocidad máxima permitida, se active el freno de urgencia.
A lo largo del recorrido podemos escuchar los diferentes sonidos que dan las balizas dependiendo de como esté la señal, verde (vía libre), amarilla y verde (anuncio de precaución), amarilla (anuncio de parada) y roja (parada obligatoria). Cuando hay una señal que indica una reducción significativa de velocidad el maquinista escucha un sonido continuo e intenso que obliga a reducir ésta al límite que indique la misma.
También podemos escuchar, en intervalos cortos, el sonido del sistema de seguridad "HOMBRE MUERTO" que recuerda al maquinista la atención en la conducción. Si el conductor no estuviera atento, el tren se detendría automáticamente.
De vuelta a Madrid el tren reduce la velocidad, debido a una precaución por obras, cuando pasa junto a los talleres de trenes Talgo en la localidad de Las Matas (Madrid). Podemos ver una unidad de tren de Alta Velocidad en primer plano totalmente ensamblada y unas cabezas tractoras al fondo que pronto serán enviadas a Arabia Saudita para entrar en servicio en la línea que se está construyendo entre las ciudades de Medina y La Meca. Dicha línea está siendo realizada en su integridad con tecnología española.
Pasado los talleres de Talgo el tren acelera su marcha para llegar puntualmente a la estación madrileña de Príncipe Pío. Fin de trayecto.

The trains in Spain are fast, efficient and relatively cheap. Unfortunately, their coverage is not great with many routes poorly served, if at all ... These sites also have full timetables and prices for all routes in Spain ... For example, the Renfe website says that there are only two trains per day from Barcelona to Sitges; looking at a different part of the same site shows you that there are a number of Cercanía trains that run to Sitges....
